  2. I didn’t see a military base @Chris but it may well be, it’s certainly a lovely place to visit.
  3. My man of the match was Crowley as well, I thought he looked really good and took the goal well. Jodie Jones also played very well it’s a shame his goal was classed an og. It was interesting to see Notts playing the long ball a lot rather than playing out from the back.
  4. Wow, what a game and what an atmosphere. We conceded two preventable goals but it was great to see Notts fighting back to get the win. I’m very impressed with Dan Crowley who was my man of the match. Jodi Jones was a close second.
  5. Wordle 784 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜????????⬜⬜ ????????????⬜???? ????????????????????
  6. Oh brilliant now I am really jealous @Fozzy we love cruising, we had a Greek Isles cruise booked for this September but we had to move it to next year after Mrs. T had health problems, hopefully she’ll be sorted by then. Enjoy the cruise, I know you will.
  7. Here you go @Fozzy just released.
  8. Good point I’ve not seen anything either.
  9. Where are you off to @Fozzy ? Make us all jealous.
  10. Morning all, looks like being a decent day. What are you all up to this weekend? Today I’ve got to complete an online refresher course for my volunteering role. Hopefully that won’t take long then I’ll have a walk with Mrs. T, we might even end up at the pub if we feel really naughty. Tomorrow it’s park run day in the morning then the match in the afternoon which I’m really looking forward to grandson @George L is on holiday so I’m going on my own, hopefully first win of the season. Sunday we haven’t got anything planned so I’ll update later. What about you? Let us know how you’re spending your weekend,
  11. Wordle 783 3/6 ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ????????⬜⬜⬜ ???????????????????? Got lucky on second guess.
  12. Blooming eck @super_ram I think you should be subjected to a random drugs test. ????

  14. On Saturday Notts take on Grimsby in the first home league game of the season in front of what should be a bumper crowd. What links can we find between the two clubs? One I can think of is Russell Slade who has managed both clubs.
  15. I wonder if they’ve been sniffing round Langstaff to replace Mullin and that’s why he got a new offer, showed they’ve now switched to Tshimanga.
  16. Get well soon @Chris looking forward to the new features.
  17. Hull City 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday Ipswich Town 1-1 Stoke City Leyton Orient 2-1 Portsmouth Peterborough United 3-0 Charlton Athletic Harrogate Town 2-0 Forest Green Rovers (joker) Swindon Town 1-0 Crewe Alexandra Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 Southend United York City 0-1 Kidderminster Harriers
  18. Err are you sure you are talking about the same place @TheSkipper this is in Staffordshire and it’s beautiful it’s not the Arboretum in Nottingham.
  19. We’ve had a day out at the National Memorial Arboretum which has memorial monuments for lots of things from people lost in world wars and other conflicts to stillborn babies and everything in between. The memorials are set in beautiful landscaped gardens near Alrewas in Staffordshire. Amongst the memorials we’re ones to footballers including a memorial funded by Leyton Orient FC commemorating the players of Clapton Orient Football Club who all volunteered to join the 17th Battalion Middlesex Regiment during the First World War, many sustained wounds and three players died during the battle of the Somme. There was also one commemorating the Christmas truce of 1914 when British and German forces who’d been killing each other the day before stopped fighting on Christmas Day and played football, the bronze handshake encased in wire to form a football symbolises this. It’s a fascinating place and we’ll worth a visit. Glapton Orient FC Memorial Christmas Truce handshake The memorial that has names of every serviceman lost in wars. A bronze tree statue with brass leave that have inscription to loved ones who’ve died,
  20. Wordle 781 3/6 ????????⬜⬜⬜ ????????⬜???????? ???????????????????? Getting the first two letters on the first guess helps.
  21. An interesting article on how to stay fit and cut the risk of dying early. Fitness: Only 5,000 steps a day needed to stay healthy, study shows https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-66440424
  22. We huffed and puffed but one shot on target says it all really, once again another stupid sending off when Baldwin took a second needless yellow card, we need to learn fast. Having said that there were 8 changes, a few key players were rested and we mustn’t forget Lincoln are a league above.
  23. Well I went in the shop before the match to see what’s happened to my shirts, Lynn was a bit flustered and said she was trying to track them down and if I rang on Thursday she might have some news. During the match she rang me and said if I came in the shop after the match she’d found two shirts. The shirt for youngest grandson might be too big but @George L’s shirt should fit him he’s bigger than me now. ???? All we’ll that ends well it’s the last time I’ll order any thing online from them though I’ll go to the shop in future.
