I’ve just looked at the league one table and they’re in the relegation zone with no points so Notts will have no problems. Seriously it’ll be a tough game, a draw would be a good result in my opinion, I expect Williams to field a team pretty much the one he wants to start the season with.

On Saturday Notts travel to Shrewsbury for a pre season friendly. How many links can we find between the two clubs, players, managers etc. Here’s one to start Arthur Mann he played for Notts between 1972-1979 making 253 appearances and scoring 21 goals, in 1979 he moved to Shrewsbury and made 8 appearances scoring 1 goal. How many more can we find?

@George L did you see McGoldricks goal in the clip above, this is what we’ve got to look forward to.

I wasn’t at the match but when I saw the video I thought it was a superb goal, I have the feeling we’ll see a few more of those over the coming season and McGoldrick will become a fan favourite. I can hear Rubén’s song adapted to David McGoldrick. We are blessed with Langstaff and McGoldrick, surely two of the best strikers in the division.

That’s a great read I loved reading about how @super_ram (can’t get used to calling him Barry) met @GrannyPie. I hope you get to see a few live games of your beloved Rams as well as your second team Notts of course. Great pictures too especially @super_ram @Chris and @super_pie three generations it’s great to see you all together.

I think it’s always good to loan young players out so that they gain invaluable experience, we can always recall them if needed. I’m sure Luke Williams will do whatever is best for the players and the club.

I honestly don’t know what the answer is it’s great to be inclusive as you say @TheSkipper however in sport it gives the player an advantage but as @AmericanPie says where do they play, it’s a real tricky one.

It’s a sad story and one that is becoming more and more frequent. I hope they survive.
