  1. A big PoN welcome to @Steveyward I hope you enjoy being part of our friendly community.
  2. Wordle 766 5/6 ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ⬜????????????⬜ ⬜????????????⬜ ???????????????????? Oh dear, 5 today.
  3. Yes I remember that too, quite funny, there was a clip of it on last nights news.
  4. You are getting far too good at this @super_ram
  5. @Joshua when you’re an old fogey like me you can get in for £16. Admittedly it’s cheaper to buy a season ticket but I might pop my clogs anytime and go to the great football stadium in the sky so it’d be a waste shelling out £260 or whatever it is.
  6. So sad to hear that Trevor Francis has died aged 69. The first million pound footballer. Condolences to his family and friends.
  7. @CliftonMagpie Yes I go by myself when the grandkids can’t come.
  8. Tobi seems like a great character, as Luke says it’s important to have fun as well as hard work it builds a good team spirit. Neil Warnock is a manager who knew that fun was as important as hard work, I remember him taking the players sledging at Wollaton park when there was too much snow to train.
  9. @JustLikeJuve welcome to PoN it’s going to be a great season and you can discuss it with friendly like minded fans on here.
  10. No I’m not, I never know when grandkids want to come or how many so it’s difficult to commit to one seat and I don’t want to buy a season ticket for the grandkids as they don’t always come. So I find it easier to purchase a ticket match by match.
  11. Just bought my Grimsby ticket online Whoop! Whoop! Can’t wait.
  12. Wordle 765 4/6 ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ⬜????⬜⬜???? ????????⬜⬜⬜ ???????????????????? Just call me Mr. average 4.
  13. @cheeky~k8 those cakes are awesome well done, that’s just the sort of thing Mrs. T used to do for our kids, brilliant. You are making memories, it’s something your kids will always remember. ????
  14. I started to watch the France v Jamaica game which I’d recorded but I fell asleep it was 0-0 when I dozed off and obviously wasn’t holding my attention.
  15. There’s a free public toilet in our town but it’s no good to me because I can walk home in a minute, so unless I was really desperate I won’t be using it. A lot of places like cafes, bars etc., in Europe pay reduced rates if they open their toilets to the public without having to make a purchase. I think this is something that should be adopted in this country.
  16. A dominant performance by all accounts but it’s what we come to expect ince Williams arrived. Well done Notts.
  17. Williams stressed the need for patience and concentration while we have possession, waiting for an opening and punishing any mistakes.
  18. @super_ram I didn’t go to the match but in the managers interview Notts were described as having 90% possession by the interviewer and the manager described Boston as being “defensively disciplined”, so I think we can draw our own conclusions.
  19. @cheeky~k8 is it @CutiePie who has a birthday? Wish her a happy birthday from me. Well done on baking her cake I bet most mums buy one these days. Mrs. T always did our sons birthday cakes and grandchildren too, the always had a theme, one year our son was going camping so she baked a cake in the shape of a tent with two feet sticking out! Other notable creations were, Lego, Minecraft, rocket, monkey shaped cakes.
  20. Wordle 764 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ????⬜????⬜???? ⬜⬜????⬜???? ???????????????????? That’s better.
  21. On Tuesday 25th July Notts County travel the short distance up the A38 to play Alfreton Town in a pre season friendly. How many links between the clubs can we find, players, managers, coaches etc. Here’s one to start us off, Shaun Harrod started his career with Notts in 2002 and was a player with us until 2005, he later joined Alfreton in 2014 making 16 appearances scoring 7 goal, he returned to Notts in 2014 making 12 appearances and scored 2 goals. Over to you how many more can we find.
  22. We went specifically looking for frogs legs in France and failed to find any, the only time I’ve ever eaten them was in a restaurant on an English cruise ship, I think it’s a bit of a fallacy that they eat frogs legs, they might have done way back in the past, the same as English folk ate tripe and onions or brains years ago. (Shudder).
  23. In France they have a little old lady who sits with a dish collecting money, I guess she keeps the toilet clean and takes the money as payment, I never knew how much to put in the dish so invariably paid a euro for a pee. Toilets there are usually unisex too, weird.
