Fan of Big Tone

Morning all, it’s Friday, the weekend starts here. It’s a bit warmer than yesterday morning with a temperature of 3.5 degrees. I’m trying to stay off alcohol until Christmas, I drank far too much on recent holidays which isn’t good for my weight or my health, this weekend will be hard, it’s curry night tonight and I usually have a pint of beer before and a couple of glasses of wine with the curry, tonight it’ll be “God’s Ale” i.e. water, wish me luck. I could get some non alcohol beer but I’ve tried that before and not only does it taste awful it’s got just as many calories as real beer so doesn’t help the weight problem. Anyway, that’s all from me, how’s everyone else doing?

Don’t wish for retirement unless you manage to retire early, retiring in old age is great if you have your health but as you get older you start getting things going wrong that stops you doing the things you wanted to do. That’s why we take as many holidays that we can afford before we get past it. Enjoy your youth you’ll be old before you know it.

I hope we field a strong team as well, hopefully Peterborough might rest a few and maybe be a bit complacent and we can progress to round three. It’d be nice have a bit of a cup run. ????

Thanks for that @Robbie, I’ll get Mrs. T on it. Good morning everyone, it’s been a cold night with a frost the temperature dropped to -1 overnight. A busy day for us, it’s our support group meeting so we’ve got a lot of preparation to do before tonight but hopefully we’ll get a walk when the weather warms up. Keep warm folks.

@Robbie my mum occasionally had tripe and onions but she never subjected us kids to it thankfully. i believe its making a comeback I’ve seen it in Morrisons occasionally and on cooking shows. It’s not something I’d want to try.

Amazing stuff. I’ve never seen Orcas in the wild but on a recent cruise there was a large pod of dolphins following the ship, they were frolicking and seemed to be having fun. On another cruise the captain informed us over the tannoy that there were some pilot whales off the starboard side, everyone went rushing over to see them it’s a wonder the ship didn’t capsize. ????

Good morning all, @Piethagoram you certainly get about don’t you? Enjoy your trip is it business or pleasure? Well yesterday I had a shingles jab at the local surgery, I hate needles but after reading about Bob Mortimer having shingles it sounded awful so decided to take the plunge, no after effects at all and the nurse was very gentle. I need another one in six months then covered for life. It’s a wet start here, I’ve got lots to do so I’d better get cracking, laters.

I can’t believe how many Notts fans are on there, someone has put a list of all the Notts fans and I followed them all (175 so far), a lot have followed me back, there are more joining all the time, it all seems very friendly, I hope it stays that way.

@TheSkipper I’ll give it a go but I don’t want to drop Twitter as I have a lot of messages my late son sent me when he was alive, they mean a lot to me and I don’t want to lose them.

When I first got married if we had spaghetti bolognaise it was a posh meal for a celebration, it seemed very cosmopolitan at the time, now it’s something kids eat. I think it’s a real shame that people these days don’t do so much home cooking, a lot of the younger generation don’t even know how to cook, it’s either takeaways, fast food restaurants or ready meals. A lot of which is quite unhealthy.
