  1. I remember a certain Tony Hateley coming back home to finish his career and look how that ended. I wonder how many fans said something similar at the time. Not that I’m comparing him to Tony Hateley of course but if he did well I might have to change my name to Fan of Big Dave
  2. @Chris Regarding bugs, I’ve noticed when I log in after being logged out I get a message saying “Oops, something went wrong. Please try again.” It’s not a problem to me because I just go to the three bars and navigate the site but it may put some newbies off.
  3. Maybe a swap deal with Ruben? He’d potentially be a good player for us given his pedigree I think the recruitment people would have done their homework and if they think he’s a good fit then I’m happy with their judgement because to be fair they’ve done a good job so far. We shall see.
  4. @Chris I go to the website I didn’t know there was an app. https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html
  5. Wordle 717 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜????⬜ ????⬜⬜⬜???? ???????????????????? Did well today.
  6. @Nocturnal-Magpie it’s a night match I think so it should suit you. ????
  7. Excellent photos, fame at last @Piethagoram
  8. @DangerousSausage @super_ram When you’ve completed it a box appears at the bottom a button says “share” click that and it copies to your clipboard. Then come on here and paste.
  9. It is important to reward loyal fans and it’s also important to attract new fans with things which might tempt them to attend, as others have said exciting football and winning games will also attract floating football fans. Fans can also do their bit to attract younger fans by dragging their sons, daughters, grandchildren, nephews, nieces etc. nout of their bedrooms and off their games machines to a match or two, soon (especially if they have a good time) it will become a habit. I did this with my grandsons at an early age, the eldest is now a die hard Notts fan, I’m still working on his younger brother who originally insisted he was a Fword fan because the players came to his school and dished out shirts, somehow his shirt was “lost” ????. He has been to a few Notts matches and I think he is starting to enjoy them, especially this last season. Fingers crossed he can be turned into a lifelong fan.
  10. My week started really well we spent time getting ready for our Corfu holiday, buying clothes, a new suitcase etc. then all our plans were in tatters on Friday when my wife was taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack, so the holiday is now cancelled, there will be others when she’s recovered.
  11. I’m worn out just reading that! I think I’ll have to get a maid. ????
  12. Wordle 716 5/6 ⬜????????⬜???? ⬜????⬜????⬜ ????????????⬜⬜ ????⬜????????⬜ ???????????????????? Never heard of this word.
  13. Thank you everyone for the good wishes and the positive vibes, the good news is that she is back home, they released her from the acute cardiac ward last night, she’s got a huge bagful of different tablets to take and she’s got to go back to have a heart monitor fitted so they can find out what’s going on with her heart. She was shattered when I brought her home she’d been woken up every hour for blood tests etc so hardly had any sleep all weekend while she was there. The doctor has told her she can resume normal life and do things she would normally do so I’m glad I didn’t wash the pots for three days she can do them now. ???? Only joking I’ll be looking after her. The bad news is we will have to cancel our holiday to Corfu, I’ll be ringing the insurance company today to see if we can get money back but if the worse happens and we lose it then so be it, I’m just happy to have her home. Thanks again for your good wishes.
  14. Thank you @chris I’ve been to take some pj’s etc and she’s now been transferred to City Hospital Cardiac Ward, she’s in good spirits and the consultant says it might be a heart attack or Angina which is slightly less serious, she’s getting excellent treatment.
  15. Well my big plans for the weekend didn’t happen. Mrs Fan of Big Tone is in hospital with a suspected heart attack, they are keeping her in for tests. She went to the doctor Friday night and they sent her straight to A&E where we spent the next 14 hours. We’re shattered, she’s being looked after and in the best place though.
  16. Thank you everyone, I enjoyed doing the interview and @Chris has done a great job putting it together. Sorry about my ugly mug in the photo. ????
  17. We won’t be on BT Sports this season as they televise the National league and a few Premiership games.
  18. Yes music can be very powerful and take you back in time to memories that can be good but also can be unhappy memories.
  19. That’s who I was thinking @KB1862 but I couldn’t remember the name, Gazza is a good example too.
  20. I’ll be honest I can’t really remember him might be just my awful memory or if he was awful perhaps I’ve blotted him out. ????
  21. Me too fingers crossed eh?
  22. @liampieYes I thought he might progress being in a higher league, I’ve seen him in a couple of matches on tv and he hasn’t really stood out. He seems to be treading water I hope going to Newport gives his career new impetus.
