Wow that sounds like a good gathering of your clan @liampie I hope the day goes well.

What have folk got planned for the weekend anything exciting happening in your life? I am doing a 5k Park Run with my son and his friend, then we are going to support my daughter in law who is doing a run then a wild water swim at Colwick, I think it’s called a biathlon or something, rather her than me. Sunday we are doing a BBQ weather permitting, hopefully it’ll be fine all weekend. What are others doing?

I was going to say the same thing @Chris Enzio scored some great goals but consistency let him down, he definitely went missing in some games.

Hopefully this isn’t a controversial subject but here goes. I never watch Good Morning Britain and have absolutely no interest whatsoever what Philip Schofield has or has not been up to, does anyone else think the papers (gutter press) are hounding the poor bloke? Surely his private life should be that…..private. Leave him alone for goodness sake otherwise it could have tragic consequences, god forbid he finds it too much and takes his own life but it’s happened to celebrities in the public eye before and can happen again. What do others think?

Now Notts are promoted into the league I must admit I will probably still keep an eye on the National League to see how our old rivals are faring, particularly Chesterfield, I used to work there and have a lot of friends who are Spirerite fans so I will be hoping they are promoted so we can renew our rivalry in the league but of course by then we’ll be in League One won’t we? Anyone interested in keeping tabs on National League?

I sold a lot of my vinyl records on eBay some years ago, I had some quite rare Rolling Stones LP’s which fetched a good amount. I have lots of cd’s but they are stored away and I never use them, instead I listen to music on our Google Home Hub which is similar to Alexa, if I want to hear a particular track I just say “hey google play………….” and it plays it. Other than that when I’m running I listen to my Spotify playlist through headphones, although I don’t have a subscription so I have to listen to adverts as well.

@super_ram yes of course it’s all speculation and in some cases folk will be putting two and two together and making five but it gives us something to talk about during the boring close season.

The amount of awards he is winning is testament to what a great season he’s had, he’ll need lots of room on his mantelpiece or a large cabinet to put them in. Well done macca.

I don’t play it and not sure how it will work but I’m up for voting for the best goal. It should be interesting to see.

In my opinion it’s important to keep a strong nucleus of the side together for the league 2 campaign and Sam is an important part of the team so it’s great he’s signed.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper has signed a new two-year deal, following in the footsteps of fellow long-serving Magpie Connell Rawlinson. And both Luke Williams and our board of directors look forward to welcoming him back to Meadow Lane in pre-season.
