  1. No it wasn't a great match but 3 points were very welcome, we need to up our performance against Mansfield though because they are in good form at the moment and will be up for it. I wish the fans wouldn't be so quick to get on Collin's back, I really don't think it will help his game to hear the criticism at the match. I thought Jorge when he came on looked really back to something like his best, it seemed to give the whole team a lift.
  2. We didn't play well especially in the first 70 minutes of the match, I though Grant coming on changed the game, it seemed to spark the team into playing better, in the end a win is a win, at this stage of the season it doesn't matter so much about the performance but 3 points were vital and we got them. I hope this gives us a bit of confidence, the Mansfield game will be massive.
  3. Hi Chris I know I don't come on here much but this blog prompted me to want to reply, I hope you don't mind. Since my son died I have read a lot about depression and mental health and have come to the conclusion that a good therapy is to talk openly about it, as you have done before and are doing here. I don't profess to understand your feelings and anxieties because thankfully I don't suffer but I do think it is good to talk to family, friends and even publicly about how you are feeling, in that way people can give you support. My son had thousands of on line friends, hundreds of off line friends and a loving family but he didn't open up, if he had done things might be different. You've got lots of good friends and a wonderful family network who I know support you and are proud of all you do. If you are being harrassed by online friends, just block them or unfriend them, don't suffer it, don't engage with them they aren't worth the trouble. Sorry to go on but I just wanted to have my say, I hope it helps and I hope you don't mind me adding my thoughts. Take care, Tony.
  4. I'm gutted he's injured, I'm sure he'd have been busting a gut to score against Crawley. Oh well, lets hope we can win without him.
  5. Sounds like a quite a few clubs are strengthening their squads in the transfer market, I wonder when/if Notts will be making any signings. Thanks for the article @Joe Jones
  6. It's interesting that he speaks several languages that might come in handy with our foreign legion.
  7. I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, Winter is obviously bulling up the appointment with all the right words let's hope for our sakes and the sake of the club he's right.
  8. I understand that he is one of the lowest paid players and is great to have around the dressing room but playing wise he's getting too old I think.
  9. I can forgive his disciplinary lapses, give him another contract Notts.
  10. Nice article but it always makes me smile when every manager that comes in all the fans agree we need stability but as soon as things go wrong those same fans are calling for the managers head.
  11. Izale had a very good game, I was pleased for him, he seems to be finding his scoring boots, long may it continue. It was unpleasant when Notts went 2 down and the crowd started booing and moaning at every pass that went wrong, I don't know why some people call themselves supporters as they don't support when the team needs them.
  12. Yes thanks @notts-joe it works on desktop computer and also on phone now. must have been a dodgy connection last time.
  13. Northampton v Portsmouth would be a good game to watch for a neutral.
  14. Not sure whether it's my connection but the video won't load for me on my iPhone, I'll try the computer tomorrow.
  15. I think the post count can be a bit counter productive, it shows us in a bad light if there are only a few posts in the day and people may not bother because its not very busy. Perhaps @notts-joecould give us an update now and again when the stats are good, perhaps a regular feature posting stats of the week etc.
  16. Oh no, I didn't know Aborah was injured it must have happened whilst I was away, he's going to be a big miss, I hope he gets back soon.
  17. It'll be interesting to see how many Carlisle fans turn up and how their team play as it will be a bit like an away game for both teams, Carlisle are losing home advantage.
  18. I've not seen the ladies as much as I would have liked so I don't know the players that well but good to see the squad keeping together.
  19. The more I use the site and forum the more I like the changes. I am learning new things and finding new features all time. Well done everyone.
  20. Stick, see my previous comments in other threads.
  21. I really enjoyed reading this, I read it with Colin's voice as he would have said it. A big thank you to Colin for joining us here on PoN, you are a legend sir. I look forward to reading more of your articles.
  22. We desperately need some fire power up front to give us more options, maybe this lad will fit the bill if he signs.
  23. I've read it, liked it, shared it etc. it's an interesting read, thanks @Blink1862
  24. Great article @Blink1862 I agree entirely, our home form has let us down over many seasons now and I am hoping that Moniz will put things right this coming season by playing attacking, attractive football that the fans can get excited about and not the "one up front", boring stuff we have been subjected to in the past.
  25. Congrats @DangerousSausage
