  1. @Robbie I agree there is far too much talking, I don’t mind listening to the pundits doing a brief summary of the match but it does go on too long, especially on the Sunday nights programme. I’d rather see more of the match highlights,
  2. I had to look back to see what the orange line was, I totally agree @super_ram brilliant.
  3. It’s not a top priority match so expect a mixture of fringe players, anyone coming back from injury and youth players.
  4. If they need support please share this page with them, they can put their post code into the search box and find a support group nearest to them. The only criteria is they must be aged 18 or over and be bereaved by suicide. We help individuals support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years...
  5. @Wheelbarrow repair man I think Chris isn’t well at present and I’m sure he will support the mods as he trusts them that’s why they were appointed. Here are the community guidelines which might answer some of your questions.
  6. @Robbie I believe the swear words are automatically starred out but I may be wrong. Moderators are there to moderate that is what they have been asked to do irrespective of whether they are involved in the thread or not. The moderators have discussed the offending post and agreed it’s not acceptable, I believe @Wheelbarrow repair man has been sent a personal message to explain the decision, it’s no big deal let’s move on there’s no need for a fuss, it’s not about the opinion expressed it’s about inappropriate language.
  7. @Wheelbarrow repair man Well I didn’t mention it to get donations but if anyone did want to donate it’s called Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide they have support groups around the country we volunteer to help facilitate a local group, after they helped us when our son died by suicide. Any donations can be made here Donations UKSOBS.COM We are the only UK-based organisation offering peer-led support to adults impacted by suicide loss. We help...
  8. I volunteer for a smallish nationwide charity I can assure you our CEO is not paid a kings ransom nor is the staff at the head office, funds are desperately needed to support people bereaved by suicide. Statistically people bereaved by suicide are at a greater risk from suicide themselves, I know that the support they receive is literally live saving.

  12. I had a weird dream last night, Notts were playing Fulham at Meadow Lane and were winning 5-0 at half time “Mike “Eddie” Edwards scored 2, the Fulham supporters who had filled the Sirrel stand all walked out at half time, they all threw their scarfs and shirts in a pile as they left, I went to look at the pile and there was also people’s shoes, and some bags containing wallets and purses with money, I notified a steward that they ought to be collected so they could be claimed but before anything was done Notts fans were rifling through the belongings and taking stuff, someone was trying on a pair of carpet slippers he’d found and of course the scarfs were popular as they were black and white. The ref abandoned the game and it was declared a draw by the EFL even though we were 5-0 up! What a strange dream, I don’t usually remember them but this was vivid.
  13. @Wheelbarrow repair man I don’t understand your vitriolic post about Lineker, I personally will be sad to see him go he’s a good broadcaster I think Match of the Day will be poorer once he’s gone. It seems you feel very strongly but I don’t think your language (although starred out) is befitting a family forum.

  17. Thanks @Robbie I just feel that if only three people are engaging or even viewing then there’s little point, I wish more people would come on even if it’s just to say hello, it could be a very valuable thread to discuss things but the majority of people are obviously not interested. @Piethagoram that recipe sounds good, we have pasta pesto quite regularly so next time we’ll try that.
  18. Morning all, it’s a damp start here and 7 degrees so a bit nippy. I’m not sure these weekly chats are worth doing, I noticed only two other members have viewed last weeks, let alone commented. So thanks @Robbie and @Piethagoram for taking the time to respond but maybe it’s time to call it a day. People don’t seem to want to engage in general chat.
  19. Good afternoon, we had a walk up to our local war memorial for the 11am remembrance service, there was a really good turnout of townsfolk. All the roads were closed to traffic while the scouts, army cadets and boys brigade band march from the church to the memorial. Our grandson Fred was marching with his scout group at another local town but we couldn’t get the car out to go and watch him, it’s nice to see the youngsters being involved.

  23. Thats rubbish @menzinho I was lots better with a resounding 1 point.
  24. I listened on the radio, it sounded like a great game and a fantastic advert for league two football, two good teams slugging it out. A point is a good result from Doncaster and it sounded like a fair result.
