Hmm, I can’t really think of any interesting tales I can tell at the moment but I’ll have a think and watch this topic with interest.

Good morning it’s Friday and the weekend starts here, it’s a cold start with temperatures down to 4 degrees during the night. I’m thrilled to bits this morning because when I stepped on the scales (as I do every morning) I have dropped below 13 stone for the first time since last October, I’m really pleased about that because I wanted to lose half a stone because I know I’ll put it back on again when we go on holiday but at least I’m starting from a low point rather than piling on more on top of already being overweight. Ideally I’d like to drop to 12 stone but I don’t think that’s achievable without a sustained effort of doing lots of exercise and starving myself. Veggie curry tonight so that won’t be too calorific. Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.

The rise in attendances has been nothing less than amazing, I remember watching Notts in a cold Tuesday night when there’s been less than 4,000 in the ground and around 5,000 on a nice sunny Saturday, to get over 10,000 would have been beyond our wildest dreams. When Albert Scardino owned the club he started a campaign to get “8 through the gate” they sold cheap tickets in a bid to get 8,000 fans in the ground but it rarely happened. The present owners deserve credit for the level of support we are now getting the matchday experience has changed remarkably since they came.

@liampie well in reality it’s true he could still go in January, I believe Langstaff committed to a long term contract but we still sold him to Millwall, I don’t think fans who say that are being negative they are just being realistic, unfortunately that’s football, I’m sure if an offer came in that matched the owners valuation then Jodie would be sold. It’s better than him seeing out his contract and going for nothing. However it does show that Jodie is willing to commit and that the owners want him to stay, so I hope he is here for many years and thrilling us with his skills.

This is fantastic news, he certainly deserves it, “always believe in, Jodi Jones” ????

You can tell it’s getting colder we had porridge for breakfast for the first time since the cool days of spring. We had a walk this morning into our little high street then round the block and back home, I try to do at least 7,000 steps if I can. I’m going to have another go at my jigsaw this afternoon, it’s a bit hard.

Good morning it’s Thursday and it’s been chilly overnight the minimum temperature here was 6 degrees, time to get the higher tog duvet out I think. My arm is still hurting I’ve got a tens machine now which is helping a little, it sends little electric shocks into the muscles to stimulate them and it’s supposed to relieve the pain. I have to limit my time online as I think that is what caused it. Never mind this time next week I’ll be off on our two week cruise from Dubrovnik. Can’t wait.

Very interesting insight into Bromley, they’ve done amazingly well to get into the league, Michael Cheek will be a threat, if we can nullify him I think we could come away with a win but I’d be happy with a draw. An interesting addition to the back room staff of a gamer, I’m not sure what to think about that.

Thank you for the update, although many of us on here have never met each other we are like a family and care about each other, even though David is many miles away we will all be sending positive thoughts and love to him in the hope that he is at least comfortable.

My wife and I do voluntary work for people who are bereaved by suicide and at our support meetings a lot of people say they had no idea their wife/husband/son/daughter/mum/dad etc., were going to take their own life, there are often no signs whatsoever. Sadly there are also those who say their loved ones have been let down by mental health services and make several attempts before they finally succeed.

That’s exactly what the video portrays, a person can be the life and soul of the party and the last person you’d think would take their own life but very often it’s a mask to hide the real way they feel.
