There’s a rumour that Mansfield made a deadline day offer of £400,000 for Crowley, not sure how true it is but it wouldn’t surprise me. If we are going for promotion in January I think we may well tempt them to stay with the right contract offer, otherwise we’ll probably lose one or more likely both.

He was brilliant alongside Grealish for us, it seems like a dream now that we had those two playing for Notts County, they were certainly stars in the making.

Good morning all and happy Wednesday. @Chris I hope you are feeling better soon, I’ve been a bit under the weather too my arm is still painful and I think it’s getting me down a bit. @Robbie I love jacket potatoes, in fact we are having them tonight, my favourite filling is tuna and sweetcorn with mayo. @liampie I hope you enjoyed your fish and chips you are allowed to treat yourself occasionally. @Blake I hope you settled in ok back at school and don’t get too much homework. I’m a good boy, I can honestly say in 50 years of driving I’ve never been caught speeding, I think I’ve just been lucky however because it’s very easy to let your mind wander for a minute and you end up doing 35 in a 30 mile limit. 152 mph is highly dangerous I hope they had the book thrown at them.

Good morning another week dawns, it a grey cloudy start here and looks decide.y like it will rain at any time. Today is @George L’s 16th birthday so tonight we will be joining the family for a meal in the local Indian restaurant, really looking forward to that, it seems ages since we all had a meal out together. We had a nice afternoon at our sons yesterday he cooked a chicken Caesar salad on his outdoor grill, we listened to the match as we sat eating and drinking. Grandson Fred made me picture on his phone I might use it for my avatar. A day of relaxation today.

I miss “uncle” Colin too, a real gentleman with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Notts County. aAs well as Tony Hateley there’s some great names mentioned in that article, Jack Wheeler, John Sheridan, Stan Newsham and Peter Bircumshaw whose brother Tony also played for Notts.
