Match Report: McGoldrick Magic as Notts County Triumph Over Swindon Town
I’m so pleased for David McGoldrick he’s had to bide his time waiting for his chance to shine and my goodness he certainly did shine, as someone else said he scored two superb goals from nothing, it just goes to show that he is true class at this level. It was a great all round performance from the team to turn the game on its head and Bass along with the defence deserve credit for their part in keeping Swindon out.

Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Robins (A)
This is a great win for Notts and just what Didzy needed to do, i.e. put himself in the frame for a start next game. Great win, well done to the boys.

Something for Fan of Big Tone
He was certainly good with his head, he could leap like a salmon head and shoulders above defenders, if you put a good ball in the box you knew there was a good chance Hateley would stick his head on it and score. Playing football as a kid on the local rec we used to say “stick it on my Hateley” the word Hateley became another name for your head.

This is a perfect opportunity for McGoldrick to claim a permanent place in the starting line up, I hope he does well and gives Maynard a difficult decision for the next match.

Match Preview: Can Notts County Continue Their Strong Start Against Swindon Town?
There’s no reason why Notts can’t continue their good form after our great win against Grimsby, I think they should go for the jugular get an early goal, the home crowd will get jittery and turn on the players which will make the home side nervous. 3-0 to Notts, there that’ll be the kiss of death no doubt.

Weekly Chat 26th August- 1st September
Good morning, it’s Saturday and matchday, I’ll be listening on the radio, I hope those travelling have a good journey and a successful outcome. We’ve had the grandkids overnight so it’s been a bit hectic, the house looks like a bombs hit it, I’m too tired to go to a park run today I’ll try to have a run during next week when things have quietened down We've been invited to tea by our son so we’ll take the kids back and enjoy the afternoon with them all and a nice tea, they’re doing chicken Caesar salad which sounds good, I need something not stodgy as I over ate yesterday, I made a blackberry and apple pie for the kids and ate a large portion myself….naughty. Have a great day folks.

A Statement From The Notts County Board of Directors.
It’s great news Dan and Jodi are staying, things could have been very negative if one or both had gone, as it is it’s a decent window for Notts although I’m sorry we didn’t sign Will Swann from Mansfield, I see he’s been snapped up by Crawley, I think he’d have been a good signing.

Welcome to Notts, Jevani Brown.
Don’t forget that Lee Hughes came to us with a rather dubious past and look how that ended up, let’s give him a chance.

Welcome to Notts, Jevani Brown.
I agree @Robbie they will have done their homework and will have an insight into the player and his character I don’t believe they would sign someone they weren’t sure of.

Weekly Chat 26th August- 1st September
Good morning, it’s Friday and the weekend starts here. Our son and family are back from their two weeks camping holiday with the only power from a solar panel, it seems it was a great success, they did lots of long walks, DIL did a lot of running as she’s training for a half marathon, our son did cycling while she ran, the kids really enjoyed it in spite of having only limited time on their gadgets so all in all a huge success, we expected them coming back after a week. We’ll be seeing them later and grandkids will be staying over for the night, it’ll be good to hear all there news, although they have been keeping us in touch with daily blogs and lovely photos whilst away, the modern equivalent of postcards I suppose. Have a lovely day everyone.

Nottm Forest Women v Notts County Women
Seems like they were doing well until half time but as has been said the gulf between the two sides is enormous and the ladies shouldn’t be too despondent.
-
Where are they now : Paul Hart
I can never understand why anyone wants to work after retirement age especially in a demanding job like football management, let’s face it at 71 time isn’t exactly on your side and you need to make the most of every day, spending more time with family sounds like an excellent idea to me, good decision by Paul, I wish him a long and happy retirement.

Welcome To Notts George Abbott
Well he’s only young but let’s hope he can adapt to the league two and men’s football quickly, I don’t suppose he’ll be used to the physical side of the game at this level. I wish him well and if we can help his development and he can help us win games then it’s a win win.
