You’d have thought the away side would check what the home sides kit is before travelling.

It’s terribly sad and I’m so pleased that the family are able to talk about it, Suicide should not be a taboo subject it is very common and people need to be aware. I volunteer for a suicide bereavement support group after our own son took his life in 2012, we have newly bereaved joining us every month for support, it’s a terrible thing for those left behind to deal with but when someone takes their own life they invariably aren’t thinking of their loved ones it’s just that they want to end their mental pain, they have a tunnel vision where nothing else matters but ending the misery that they feel. Rip Graham and I hope his family can find peace.

Good morning it’s the start of another week, it’s been raining here that wasn’t in the forecast, blooming weather men. This morning I’ve got the opticians it’s a routine check up, my mother had glaucoma which can be hereditary so I like to keep my eyes checked. We’ve also got a chap coming to look at the burglar alarm which keeps going off in the middle of the night saying a window is open, when we check all the windows they’re all shut so hopefully he can sort that out for us. I can remember Jeff Astle playing for Notts, yes I really am that old, he was a great young player who was good with his head as well as playing to feet, if I remember right he briefly played alongside Big Tone (Tony Hateley) what a forward line that was but a may be mis remembering someone will put me right.

The think I dislike about magpies (the feathered variety) is that the take the young of other birds from their nests, I know it’s only nature but it still upsets me.

I watched Match Talk on Notts TV the other night and the guest Notts fan Adrian somebody, said he’d heard that the Mansfield forward could be coming to Notts, he asked Charlie McParland who is employed by Mansfield if he’d heard anything but Charlie was tight lipped. Anyone else heard this rumour. I think it’d be a great signing if we could pull it off.

I wouldn’t have described it boring either, I only watched on the stream but I thought it was a good interesting game. Just because it was 0-0 doesn’t mean it was boring.

We certainly had the lions share of possession and we looked very good defensively, credit to Maynard for the second half substitutions all of whom fitted in seamlessly, in the end we could have nicked it as we looked stronger towards the end but I guess a draw was a fair result.

Listening to Maynards post match interview he’s asking fans to be patient and they are working hard behind the scenes to get the right person in. I’m hoping for a striker before the window shuts which is in about three weeks I think. What’s on your wish list?

Good morning, its a beautiful Sunday morning, I hope everyone is feeling good after a point on the road? We’ve got a chicken which I’m going to bbq for our tea later on, I think a day sitting in the garden with a few beers will be a nice way to spend the day. I hope everyone has a lovely day today.

Yes it did, it also kept putting an error message up, I too thought it was my signal but I clicked on some of the other streamed matches and they were fine.

There were some teething problems on Sky Sports + I clicked on the Notts match and it was showing Salford so I clicked round the other matches and found Notts on the Walsall v Morecambe match. Eventually it righted itself but kept losing the signal, hopefully as I say these are teething problems.

I watched on Sky Sports + which had a few teething problems but I’m happy with the performance and the score, we looked solid at the back which is a nice change and we had some good chances. Things I noticed: We seem to have dropped the short corners. Cedwyn Scott has a useful long throw Some of the new signings looked good, Bedau in particular did well
