@Robbie I’m not saying he shouldn’t get the number 9 shirt, maybe he will, I’m just saying it’s not that important these days as @Wheelbarrow repair man says in the post above it’s an old fashioned idea that your best team has numbers 1 to 11, it’s all about squad numbers these days.

Numbers on shirts don’t matter so much these days, I agree with @Wheelbarrow repair man it’s highly likely he’ll lead the attack no matter what number is on his back, I doubt it bothers the players what number they’re given.

I’ll only attend home games these days and some may not be possible because of holidays etc. hopefully more than 10 so I can justify the £20 membership. Night matches in winter are sometimes difficult as well. I really admire you folk who go to every match home and away when I was younger I used to go to lots of away matches.

We’ve spent the morning at a lovely sensory garden at a school created by the family of a young man who took his own life last year. A lovely tribute and a place where pupils can go when they need some calmness.

@Robbie Isn’t it a bit late for birds to be building a nest, all those round here have fledged now. In other news I knocked 23 seconds off my time from last weeks park run, better than getting slower I suppose. Grandson Fred is here and as predicted his head is in his phone, a few years ago he would have been excitedly waiting for my return looking out the window now he managed a grunt as I came in. He did ask me if I’d had a good run though. ????

They’ve not only transformed our fortunes on the pitch they’ve made lots of improvement off the pitch too, new pitch with future proof option for under soil heating new fan zone The Hub new sound system new bar behind kop electronic advertising boards new score boards Enlarged hospitality seating Lots of which help generate more income, I t’s incredible what they’ve done in 5 years, we are very lucky to have great owners rebuilding our club on and off the pitch.

Good morning, it’s a beautiful day for a park run, I’d better take my water bottle. Youngest grandson is coming round later while the rest of the family go to see the Nottingham Pride procession. I don’t suppose he’ll engage much, he’ll no doubt bring some gadget or other that he’ll have his head buried in, ho hum such is the life of a teenager.

I’m happy to subscribe as I can afford a little every month and I know how much running a website and forum costs, however it’s important to remember that not everyone can afford extra money and that no one is special every member is valued for their contribution whether it is monetary or just by adding their input.

There used to be a man up there who’d put numbers up to tell us the half time scores, I remember when he put the Forest score up he’d tease us as to which place he put the number, if it was for instance a 3 he put it in the away slot then change it to home slot.
