Stuart Maynard. I'm Still Not Sure.
Well let’s see what happens this season, I know you have your doubts @Wheelbarrow repair man but let’s give him a chance to prove you and other doubters wrong before we dismiss him as a failure, after all a ball hasn’t been kicked in anger yet. I personally don’t think we should keep comparing him to Williams he is a different coach with different strengths and weaknesses. I know that every Notts fan will want him to succeed.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Zebras (A)
@Piethagoram can you give us an first hand account of the game from your perspective? How did Notts play? Who was a star performer? Preferably in English, I didn’t do German at school.

An Unhappy Football Memory
Yes it was easier to get jobs back then, certainly in my trade (printing) I once had a boss come to my house to ”interview” me, I was newly married and the interview consisted of a charm offensive mainly aimed at my young wife!

An Unhappy Football Memory
Yes it sounds ridiculous now but in 1970 I was a journeyman of two years having served an apprenticeship and £20 a week was my approximate wage then. People would swop jobs for a 5 shilling rise, (25p)!

An Unhappy Football Memory
Oh no, you must have been devastated @Wheelbarrow repair man I can’t imagine anything more disappointing for a 13 year old, to be told you won that amazing prize and then to be told you couldn’t go must have been awful.

The Palais
@robbie the resident group when I regularly went was called “Red Sun” and yes I remember the downstairs disco with the revolving dance floor and the balcony above the main dance floor where you could sit and watch the dancing below. Happy days.

The Palais
Who remembers the good old Palais where I met the lovely Mrs. T. 52 years ago.

@super_ram I blame your son, I was helping him yesterday with a forum problem and he asked me to clear my cookies to check something, so it’s his fault.

Door knockers notice
I don’t think you’ll stop the post office putting stuff through your door unless you seal up your letterbox, they are contracted to deliver that stuff so they have to do it.
