Turkey's goalkeeper, a Gordon Banks moment
For me it’s not as good as the Banks save from Pele, I remember watching the game and being astounded, Banks has to go down lower on his save and he literally clawed it over the bar from an impossible position, there was no jumping about celebrating or hugging from his team mates he just got on with it and prepared for the resulting corner. Of course we didn’t have all the camera angles in those days but this video gives you an idea.

Bellingham Could be Fined and Banned.
I’ve not seen the gesture, I’ll go and have a look to see if I can find it, by the sounds of it it does seem a bit immature, let’s hope it’s just a ban and he learns his lesson. In the words of Captain Mainwaring Stupid boy.

Hurricane Beryl

Historic Nottingham
I wondered if it was Boots printers, I nearly said that. Was he a compositor or a printer? I was a compositor.

Historic Nottingham
Was your grandfather in the printing trade @Piethagoram? I was Father of the Chapel at Derry and Sons on Canal Street for a while. For those that don’t know a Father of the Chapel is a union rep and a chapel is a branch for of that particular union. In the printing trade my union was the National Graphical Association (NGA) every printers had a chapel and a father. Each year the Father has to be voted for by the members of the chapel. Sounds weird now.

Throwing beer about at The Nest
I’ve just watched a video of fans celebrating the England goal in the nest, it seems the latest fad is to chuck your beer up in the air. I’d have thought the price they pay for it they wouldn’t want to throw it away or is the beer that bad? I’m glad I wasn’t there, I don’t fancy getting a beer shampoo.

The “say yes” scam
If someone phones trying to get you to say “yes” by asking if you can hear them be aware it could be a scam. They are trying to get a copy of your voice. I thought this might not be true but research suggests it is and Experian - who I trust as an information website - have an article about it What is the “Say Yes” Scam? - Experian https://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/what-is-say-yes-scam/ Learn what a say yes scam is, how fraudsters can record you saying yes and commit fraud and how to protect yourself from this scam.

Connell Rawlinson’s Departure: Five Memorable Years at Meadow Lane
Connell has been great for us but now it’s time to say goodbye, it’s the best thing for both parties, he’ll find another club and hopefully help them to success as he has done for Notts.
