Steady Eddy, I hope he does well. My wife once saved him a lot of money, we were at a Lifeline “do” and he was on the next table, he got up and a wad of money dropped on the floor, she spotted it and told him, he was very grateful but he didn’t even buy her a drink.

I’ll be voting for whoever has the best chance of unseating the Tory incumbent (probably Labour). Our last MP was that god awful Lee Anderson what a prick. The boundaries have changed so now we are in a different constituency.

When I was a child my mam and dad always used to take me and my two brothers to Mablethorpe which is just down the coast from Skeggy and a smaller town. Mam would hire a chalet for a week and we’d play on the beach all day while mam sat making tea and sandwiches, dad would be off on his bike somewhere, he used to cycle all the way from Nottingham to Mablethorpe while we took the train. Happy days.

I hope we put a sell on clause if we lose our best players.

@Robbie sorry I wasn’t insulting you it’s a old saying my mam used to say about someone who wanted everything.

One of the good things about Skegness is it’s proximity to Nottingham, it’s great for kids and if you’re an elderly bird watcher (like me) Gibraltar Point is great for spotting a rare species. Skeggy is what you make of it.

I believe the club threatened them with legal action at one point and they had to hurriedly remove all the copies on sale.

I used to regularly buy The Pie Fanzine it was always a good read and because it was produced by supporters rather than the club it very often was quite controversial and told things from a fans point of view rather than the club line.

All Notts friendlies will be away apparently so that the pitch has time to settle before the season kicks off.
