I think we were just outclassed. It's clear our squad just isn't a match for the top teams in this league. We haven't beaten a single one of them. In fact the past few seasons we've struggled in that department. I don't think it will affect our relegation battle in the long run, we just MUST beat the teams in and around us. A few draws against teams higher up wouldn't go amiss either.

Always a favourite of mine. Particularly liked the comment about fortune favours the brave, Shaun seems to agree with that too!

These games in hand are worrying me. We could easily be back at the bottom of the table 6 or 7 points from safety if the worst happens and other relegation threatened teams win these games. However, there is absolutely nothing we can do about that. We have to get our own performances up and some more points on the board. If we win more than we lose and pick up a few draws from teams we would expect to lose to, then hopefully things will be ok. We'll just have to hope that Saturdays performance was a one off. I'm pretty sure it was. Maybe a bit of fatigue from Tuesday (remember they don't seem to have had a pre season where they got their fitness levels up, and so Derry is playing catch up with them) and too many having an off day at once. Shaun and Greg simply won't take that sort of display. I hope we can offload Haynes and get a decent combative midfielder in. We sure need one.

That was an excellent read Superpie, I hope you will write some more about Notts in the future. ps. Josh is back home now so will be going on the minibus to the next away game.

I know I don't get to the games so it's difficult for me to comment..but I will anyway!....Does anyone else feel a real sense of purpose and togetherness, for the first time since MA took over when we were nearly dead and buried by Ince? In some ways though, it's even better than that because we have one of our own in charge and the whole place seems to have a buzz about it.

I love this feature too. Cannot believe I'm posting this at 3.46 am, but my daughter' seems to have decided to have an all nighter! Look forward to the post match interview.
