  1. The future looks bright for Tiernan Brooks at Notts County if he remains focused, takes advantage of his opportunities, and remains ready to be called upon. As a young player, he has already shown potential and promise, and with the right support and guidance, he could become a good player for the team.
  2. The match against Dorking tomorrow is make or break for Notts County's title challenge. A win keeps their hopes alive, but anything less than that makes it difficult. Every point is critical, and the pressure is mounting as the season progresses. But with determination and focus, the team can still achieve their goal. Dropping even two points means relying on Wrexham to draw or lose, making it tougher to maintain a fight for the first place.
  3. The Reedtz have consistently demonstrated a genuine commitment to the betterment of the club. They have shown a willingness to spend money to improve the team's performance on the field. They have also shown a willingness to improve the fan experience. Unlike some owners who make false promises or engage in headline-grabbing actions to serve their own egos, these owners prioritise the club's long-term success. They understand that building a strong foundation takes time, effort, and resources, and they are willing to make the necessary investments to achieve sustainable success. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed by me; I appreciate the owners' transparent approach and dedication to improving the club. The owners have earned the trust and respect of the fans by delivering on their promises. They understand what it takes to build a successful team.
  4. Getting a promotion is important to our players, as it gives them the opportunity to improve their skills and compete at a higher level. While I expect Kyle Cameron to stay with our team for another season, I think that other squad members like Ruben Rodrigues and Aaron Nemane might want to join a team higher up the football pyramid. Therefore, it's essential that we focus our attention on achieving promotion to satisfy the ambitions of our talented athletes.
  5. Sorry, I have amended the title to reflect on Notts.
  6. I wish him all the best at Gateshead. I have no doubt that he will continue to impress with his skills and make a valuable contribution to his new team whilst out on loan. At the same time, it's hard not to feel that Francis is good enough to be playing regularly for Notts County. He has shown real potential in the short time he has played this season, and I think he can have a big impact for us in the future. In the end, I believe that the decision to loan him out was made with his best interests in mind. I hope that this move will give him the opportunity to come back to Notts County and develop his game. Good luck, Ed!
  7. Notts have found Bromley to be a challenging opponent at Meadow Lane, as they are skilled in countering teams that prefer a possession-based, attacking style of play. They are likely to employ a slow pace while pushing forward during set pieces, potentially putting pressure on Notts' defence. Despite this, Notts has the talent to return to their winning form, but the outcome may depend on which team desires the victory more.I expect a draw to be the likely outcome.
  8. Hello, @JoeNcfc, it's nice to be welcoming you to our site.
  9. Slocombe Cameron Nemane Palmer Langstaff A mixture of speed, technical ability and sheer class.
  10. As the 2022-23 National League season nears its end, I am interested in hearing the thoughts of PON members on which player they believe has stood out and been the most consistent throughout the season. It's important to consider the impact that the player has had on the team as a whole. A standout player who consistently performs at an exceptional level can inspire and motivate their teammates, leading to an overall improvement in team performance. In the same way, a strong player on their team can help their team keep up a steady level of play. They can also help their team when they are not playing well. Who would you choose and why?
  11. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, do join in when you get the time @SSTurtle28.
  12. Both the assistant referee on the left and the referee failed to spot the obvious penalty on Langstaff. I completely concur that it was a missed call, but I chose not to intervene with any possible accusations of bribery towards the referee. My belief is that the officials displayed poor performance and most likely succumbed to the pressure of the cameras.
  13. Currently, I'm enjoying playing football again and spending more time reading. With my full-time job, I make an effort to find ways to relax and unwind that can help me forget about how hectic everything can be. It's been great to get back into football and enjoy the benefits of physical exercise and camaraderie with my teammates. Also, reading has been a great way to escape and dive into new worlds and perspectives. What's even better now is that going back to Notts on weekends is much easier. Since I've been working full-time, I've been able to save up enough to buy a car, which has made the journey from my place to my Nottingham a lot more convenient. Being able to visit my family and friends more often has been a big boost to my well-being, and it's helped me stay connected to my roots. I'm grateful for the balance that these activities bring to my life.
  14. It's good to have you back, Chris. Keep going mate.
  15. I believe the primary factor behind our success under current ownership is their dedication to hard work and their commitment to sticking to long-term plans instead of seeking quick gains. Unlike other owners who may be distracted by social media or responding to every fan query online, they have more time to focus on the daily operations of the club. This allows them to make decisions that are in the best interest of the team. Additionally, their ability to develop strong working relationships with our managers is another key aspect that contributes to our success.
  16. I am concerned that the club will always prioritize talent from higher-ranked clubs over our own. Notts seems to lack the confidence to provide our players with the necessary league experience.
  17. Achieving this goal is a challenging task, whether it is done by a single person or a committee. Nonetheless, I hope it can be accomplished.
  18. Happy birthday to someone who deserves all the happiness in the world, especially during this difficult times. May you find peace and comfort in the memories of your loved one and inthe love of those around you. @super_ram.
  19. The gaffer has a lot of class and wise words!
  20. I would like to see the club release extended highlights without charge, as the current ones only include one of the penalty appeals. Does anyone know if BT Sports turned away when the first scorer tried to provoke the Kop? I prefer listening to BBC Radio's commentary during the highlights rather than BT Sports'. Watching the current highlights is just as exasperating as watching the game live.
  21. He seemed eager to get involved today, nothing spectacular from him and Jodi Jones looks to be the far better loan signing.
  22. It's hard to accept defeat when we played well, especially in the second half, but still lost. After the final whistle when a player was sent off it isn't great. While the referee's decisions on penalty calls may have been questionable, I'm amazed at how effectively the opposing team blocked our attempts. It feels like a tall order to ask for Chesterfield to help us out, given their current form. Nevertheless, we must move forward and focus on our next game. Our aim is to win the remaining 11 matches and secure victory in the last 2 games of the season to achieve our goal.
  23. Oh, this is extremely distressing. I am aware that Granny Pie and Super Ram have been extensively engaged with the site since its inception. Granny Pie always appeared to be a person who had a genuine concern for the well-being of others, and her absence will be deeply felt.
  24. As fans, these are the games we ought to cherish for a considerable length of time. Whether they signify the beginning of something extraordinary, let's relish the football being presented to us by these players and Luke Williams. We should count ourselves fortunate to witness such exceptional quality on display. All the goals last night were amazing, but I would like to single out Langstaff's goal, where he touched the ball twice and hit it with his laces into the far corner. The Notts squad is very impressive, and sometimes, I have to pinch myself to not get carried away as a fan, knowing there are still 12 games to go. The left-wring has created a well-oiled machine with the squad.
  25. There was a spell in the first half around the 10 minutes mark where Notts found a few chances to get on top, but Barnet managed to ride that wave. I have to say, I thought we attacked with more threat than they did. They looked like a side that wouldn't score from open play. All their threats came from pressuring us into mistakes, which Aden Baldwin had a dire time in the first 45 minutes. Cut out the backward passing, move and pass forward like we can. Barnet would not have handled us. I don't like how tippy tappy we can be when we are trying to open up the opposition, It's why I think we miss a player like Cal Roberts. Ruben Rodrigues plays like king pin under these circumstances.
