Rochdale AFC vs Notts County

Another good test coming up Saturday, although it's not one we should be fearful.

If we go into the game prepared and structured, I'd fancy us to win this game but it's never so straight forward. Having lost two games, we could do with responding now and I would take a draw.

Rochdale aren't impressive to me, rather standard side in this league and are exactly the types of teams we need to be doing well against. They're a good side don't get me wrong, however considering our recent histories it should be treated like a local derby and one of them we do not want to lose.

I think the score will 2-0, supposedly it's pay on the day only? That might impact attendances.

Thoughts?

It's one of them I would expect us to win no matter what.

Rochdale are not a side to be afraid of, they are not that special. I am sure the mighty magpies can do! 1-2 for me. COYP

they have had some good results and can score, tho they need inconsistent and are what @notts-joe says a team we would be beating.

we have a bit of rivalry there, so if we could win that would be good. i think it would be good to see murray or harrad upfront, along with garry thompson. we need to be drawing or winning, we are good enough to keep cleen sheets.

2-0 from me also.

Tough game.

It depends on who play, what formation and if the players focus properly. I do not think we have been ready the past couple of games, which is something Derry needs to ensure is spot on. The desire to get back on track must be there and Notts can do it.

1-0 to us is my prediction.

Like us, Rochdale are exceeding expectations. A lot of pundits had them to go down. One difference between us is that Rochdale play an attacking brand of football. 36 goals in 20 games. They have some decent players. Peter Vincenti. Iain Henderson. The big danger is Matt Done. He is having an outstanding season. 10 league goals from midfield and a hat trick in the FA Cup last Tuesday. Stop Done and you take away a big part of Rochdale's attack.

Rochdale do concede goals. 25 in 20 games. The key to defeating them is to knock them out of their stride, play keep ball and the gaps will appear. We cannot invite them onto us or we will be beat.

I think we'll come away with a 1-1 draw. Thompson the scorer.

Its not a good time to have to face rochdale away, then again our away form is better.

both sides have their strengths and i see the game going down to whoever uses them the most effetively. I would fancy notts normally coming into this to win but i think it screams a boring draw. The presure of getting anything more will interferee.

Rochdale: Kurucz, Darby, Widdowson, Long, Holden, Barry-Murphy, Kennedy, Jones, Grimes, Adams, Symes.

Tricky one! Our away form has to falter at some stage and Rochdale are a robust, well organised side with a bit of form & confidence.

However, we are determined, disciplined and capable of beating them on our day. This has " draw" written all over it.

Come on you Piiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeees.

At the back they're shocking, watching their highlights reminded me 11 roadrunners scared to make a stand. If they're hit, Rochdale will buckle but this depends on us creating that situation.

Going forward, its more hit and hope for the best.

If they score they're a different side but hate pressure. Its not something they tend to withstand.

We should win this given our away from is like a different team playing. Shame Notts don't do an away season ticket. Might make the game more enjoyable!

1-0! Doesn't sound like the worlds most entertaining game but if we can hold on second half a win would be a great result. COYP

I thank you!

the official sounded decent, good result. notts probably should have been better having led, rochdale sounded quite poor.

we will take the draw.
