Another weekend, another crushing disappointment in the long line of crushing disappointments. Notts County, already woefully trundling along in this season's League Two campaign, were tasked with going to big rivals Mansfield Town in the hope of getting some points. They did perform well enough in the first half, to be fair, but bad defending proved the Magpies' downfall as Mal Benning lofted the ball to the far post from the left and CJ Hamilton turned home. The goalscorer thenAdded by PON_News

Rob Milsom's stoppage-time header has helped Notts County preserve their unbeaten home record as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Forest Green Rovers at Meadow Lane on Saturday. Rob Milsom's stoppage-time header has helped Notts County preserve their unbeaten home record as they were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Forest Green Rovers at Meadow Lane on Saturday. Notts County managed to seize a draw from the jaws of defeat on Saturday as their League Two game with Forest Green Rovers ended all square at Meadow Lane. The division's bottom side took the lead on the half-hour mark through Omar Bugiel and held on to their advantage until the 96th minute of injury time, when Rob Milsom nodded home for a final score of 1-1. The Magpies barely deserved to come away with anything following a very lacklustre performance against Mark Cooper's side and haUpdated by Joe Jones

So here it is folks, the biggest game of Notts County's season so far and hopefully the penultimate game of our campaign is upon us. Coventry City come to Meadow Lane for the second leg of our League Two playoff semi-final on level terms, though it shouldn't be the case. The Sky Blues won a completely undeserved penalty late on in the first leg at the Ricoh Arena which they converted for a 1-1 scoreline. But as much as it's totally justified, there's no point crying over spilled mAdded by Joe Jones

Notts County began the 2017/18 League Two season with a difficult trip to Coventry City on Saturday 5 August. A total of 1,727 members of the Black and White Army descended upon the Ricoh Arena to see the Magpies open their account for the campaign. As it turned out, the Sky Blues were in inspired form following their humiliating relegation from League One last season, and the teenage prodigy Jody Jones rattled a hat-trick past Notts for a 3-0 final result. Notts County have somehow claimed a point from the jaws of defeat on Saturday as their League Two game with Forest Green Rovers ended all square at Meadow Lane. The result means that Magpies have slipped to second in League Two, with Exeter City reclaiming top spot. Here is what the Notts boss, sAdded by Joe Jones

This afternoon, Notts County will be hoping to stop the rot as they welcome Birkenhead boys Tranmere Rovers to Meadow Lane in League Two. Neal Ardley, who takes the Magpies reins at the San Sirrel for the first time, will seek to end a run of nine games without a win and drag his side out of trouble. Tranmere will be a tricky proposition though, as they're currently seventh in the table. However, their recent away form is poor - they'lost three consecutive away League Two games coUpdated by PON_News

Notts County began the 2017/18 League Two season away at Coventry City, but unfortunately it did not go the Magpies' way as they succumbed to a heavy defeat in the West Midlands. A total of 1,727 members of the Black and White Army descended upon the Ricoh Arena to see Notts open their account for the campaign following a summer of rebuilding both on the pitch and behind the scenes. Notts County have slipped to second in League Two after a 1-1 draw with Forest Green Rovers on Saturday. The Magpies struggled against their opponents, who prop up the Football League, and needed a last-ditch goal from Rob Milsom to salvage a point after Omar Bugiel had edged Mark Cooper's side into the lead in the first half. Here is Chris's analysis of yesterday's game at Meadow Lane. Was the result fair? Some opposition fans like to call me biased on social media, howeverUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have stopped the rot with their first League Two victory since October as they claimed a 3-2 win against Tranmere Rovers in Saturday's clash at a freezing Meadow Lane. Jon Stead gave Neal Ardley the perfect start in his maiden Magpies home game in charge as, on 33 minutes he was on hand to finish off great work from Kane Hemmings and Dan Jones, who rolled the ball across the face of goal for his veteran colleague to tap home at the back post. However, the Birkenheaders werAdded by PON_News

Despite Notts having started brightly, Coventry City took control of the game and ended the game claiming all three points in a comprehensive 3-0 win. Adam Collin saved well at his near post early to deny Michael Doyle, but Notts found more time on the ball and enjoyed a lengthy spell as Terry Hawkride came close him self after hitting the post just seven minutes later. On the 28th minute mark Shaun Brisley's flicked header went wide of the goal. Moments later, the Sky Blues foundUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have emerged from the crunch clash with League Two leaders Luton Town with a very creditable point in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road. The Magpies fell behind in the first half against the run of play when Johnny Mullins headed home to put the hosts ahead. However, Shola Ameobi hit back with a header of his own to earn a share of the spoils for County, who had goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons to thank for a crucial point-blank save late on to preserve the draw.
