Notts County have ended their programme of League Two home fixtures this season on a winning note after a 1-0 win over Blackpool at Meadow Lane on Saturday. Centre-half Richard Duffy's fourth goal of the season was all that separated the two sides as he headed into an unguarded net on 34 minutes after Blackpool goalkeeper Sam Slocombe had kept out Jorge Grant's free-kick. Pride of Nottingham was at Meadow Lane on Saturday 1 April to see Notts County take on Colchester United. The Black and White Army was treated to a great performance from the Magpies, which culminated in a 3-1 victory thanks to goals from Haydn Hollis and Shola Ameobi. The result meant that Notts maintained a 13-point gap between themselves and the bottom two in League Two, giving them yet another massive boost in their fight against relegation. Pride of Nottingham were at Meadow Lane for Notts County's 2-1 victory over Hartlepool United on Saturday March 11. The Magpies took the lead via Shola Ameobi, who scored his first goal for the club and made amends for missing a penalty earlier in the match. Loanee Jorge Grant then struck a wonderful long-range effort to put Notts two up, ensuring that Haydn Hollis's unfortunate own goal proved little more than a consolation for the visitors. Before the game, PON spoke to severalUpdated by Chris

This week's Meet the Fans video sees Pride of Nottingham chat to Notts County supporters before the Morecambe game! Such a shame the game was called off because of torrential rain, but it was still nice to hear the thoughts of Magpies fans, many of whom were in good spirits with their team flying high! Easter Monday 2017 turned out to be a positive day for both fans of Notts County and of Portsmouth at Meadow Lane. Although the Magpies fell to a 3-1 defeat, Newport County were thrashed by Plymouth Argyle, confirming for good that Notts would be a League Two side next season. Meanwhile, Pompey ended eight years of hurt with a win that sealed promotion into League and going some way towards exorcising the demons of the last few years. It's definitely been a bittersweet day today at Meadow Lane. The club has unveiled its new kits for the 2018/19 season, and the home shirt will go on sale tomorrow. In addition, it's the first day of pre-season, so now it's collision course for the friendlies and just over a month away until the league starts again! Alas, we've had to bid farewell to Mike Edwards, the very definition of "stalwart" and a man who is thoroughly loved among the Black and White Army. The talentedUpdated by Joe Jones

As someone who grew up in the 1990s, I honestly believe that it was the best decade for a young boy to come of age. The music was incredible, there were so many good shows on television, and technology was life-enriching without being suffocatingly all-encompassing as it is today. And then we have the football. Italia 1990 and Euro 1996 saw England give genuine hope to the nation's fans that football was in fact coming home, while the advent of the Premier League brought along with itUpdated by Chris

When I was little, my brother (older) was always playing football in the garden. I showed very little signs early on of being interested as I preferred playing with toys. I used to spend hours with plastic toy soldiers, these days children don't play enough or go outside but once I did start playing football I quickly fell in love with the sport. I'm hoping my son will also take to the sport, as I think it will do wonders for his confidence. I think it's easier when the people who surrounUpdated by Chris

Pride of Nottingham had kindly been allowed permission by Neal Bishop to ask him a series of questions. As one of our only surviving League Two winning players at the time, we were hopeful of being able to ask Neal some questions about his time at the club which he kindly accepted. During a busy December period the questions were sent across to Neal but unfortunately I waited to publish his answers. We're very grateful for the time and kindness shown by Neal who was expecting his first chUpdated by PON_News

Yesterday ended like I started my original journey, alone with my son in the cold. I found myself at times thinking about what Notts meant to me as a person, I looked around watching our fans react to each stage very differently. It was a roller-coaster shared by family and friends, in a sea of mixed shirts. Shaun Derry's branded Notts a “community”, which is something I've always found to be pretty much true. The only differences for me is the advUpdated by cheeky~k8

I have now written a brief introductory article about football up to the time of Notts formation in 1862 and will continue with more:-i.e. The formation of the F.A. and Football League and come up to date with, hopefully, interesting and informative articles. I enjoy reading about the history, players, and ups and downs of other clubs. I hope other site member do also and will add their own comments to give us all a better insight into football's rich history. Notts-Joe has asked me to wrUpdated by PON_News

Firstly, Could you tell Pride of Nottingham how long you've been a Notts County fan and a little about yourself? Tom: I have been a Notts fan for 21 years, for the first 18 years often wondered why haha. Well my name is Tom I am 21 and currently in the process setting up my own business within sport. Vicki: Been going down Notts for 43 years, used to with my 'dad, brother, grandad and cousins'. My brother, hubby and cousins still go. Notts County have done their big kit reveal, with the public now knowing the design of all their shirts and jerseys for the 2017/18 season. On Tuesday evening, the club released a video which showed manager Kevin Nolan visiting a young fan and showing him the new home shirt. Later on in the evening, Notts published an article on their website which showcased the home, away, third, goalkeeper and training kits. As with every release of new clothing, there will always be divided opiUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have unveiled their new kits for the 2018/19 season. The Magpies released teasers of the new Puma shirts throughout Friday before the full unveiling in the evening. The home kit retains the vertical black-and-white stripes that Notts are famous for and "pays homage to the very popular kits of the 1990s by incorporating yellow into the design". The away kit, meanwhile, "sees the Magpies continue with their cool combination of blue and white – with a pinstripe twist".Added by Joe Jones

Notts County are preparing for the first home game of the 2017/18 League Two season, hosting local rivals Chesterfield at Meadow Lane on Saturday. The Magpies did not get off to a particularly good start, losing 3-0 at Coventry City last week, but a much-changed team put in an impressive display at Scunthorpe United in the League Cup on Tuesday, taking the League One side all the way to penalties at Glanford Park. Now, the clock is ticking down to the opportunity to see Notts back on hUpdated by Joe Jones

On Saturday, it was announced that former Notts County chairman Derek Pavis had passed away aged 87. Pavis, who has the west stand at Meadow Lane named in his honour, guided the Magpies through their most successful period in their recent history thanks to his shrewd appointment of Neil Warnock and investment in the squad. He also oversaw the redevelopment of the stadium before stepping aside after 13 years at the helm at the age of 70. Here are just some of the tributes left on tUpdated by Joe Jones

The opening of this memorial message has been constructed by Notts fan @Darryl Broughton, as fan messages came pouring in the news – first with the Notts County Supporters Club. It quickly became apparent how much the magpies’ star had touched the lives of many. Mick Vinter joined Notts County in 1971/1972 season, he was a great player for the reserves, being the top scorer with 26 goals from that season. He continued to be a regular striker for the reserves making the odd substitute aUpdated by Chris

Notts County owners Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz spoke to supporters at a fans' forum at Meadow Lane on Tuesday evening. Here are some of the key points as noted by Pride of Nottingham: The Danish brothers were attracted to Notts because of the club's history, Nottingham as a city, the potential and a fantastic opportunity. 2019/2020 aim is to hopefully gain promotion - however, they feel it's not expected and Neal Ardley must establish the team.
