Saturday's early League Two kickoff saw Notts County host Mansfield Town at Meadow Lane and claim their first league win over the Stags in 13 years in a 1-0 win. Neal Ardley's side began brightly before taking the lead in the 19th minute when Rob Milsom's cross was touched into the path of Mackail-Smith by Virgil Gomis, and the on-loan Wycombe man volleyed home from 20 yards. Notts County will be hoping to get back to winning ways following their draws against Luton Town and Grimsby Town when they host Cambridge United this weekend. Managed by Shaun Derry, the U's are currently in a bad vein of form and may be missing key players. Pride of Nottingham spoke to Cambridge fan Tom to get an insight on this weekend's opposition. About Tom: I'm 26, been supporting the U's since I was a child, as long as I can remember, and my favourite player is Dave Kitson.Updated by Joe Jones

No sooner have Notts County got back to winning ways that they suffer another negative result, this time a 2-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra. The Magpies were hoping to build on their 2-1 win over Barnet on Saturday with a result that would keep them top of the table at Gresty Road. However, Notts were not at the races as Michael Raynes rattled home from close range just before half time after Eddie Nolan had headed George Cooper’s free kick across goal. It just wasn't to last, was it? Notts County's good recent run of form, which culminated in the superb 1-0 win over Mansfield, had us to the point we could come out of the League Two relegation zone with victory over Newport. Instead, revert to type. A 4-1 home defeat to a side 15th in the standings and we're still bottom. Fraser Franks opened the scoring before a Jamille Matt brace put the Exiles 3-1 ahead at the break despite Kane Hemmings's early equaliser. And in true MagAdded by PON_News

Notts County suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night which knocked them off the top of League Two, with Luton Town taking their place. Putting in one of the worst performances of the season so far, the Magpies fell behind just before half time when Michael Raynes rattled home from close range after Eddie Nolan had headed George Cooper’s free kick across goal. Crewe's win was sealed when, 66 minutes in, Jordan Bowery ran in behind to latch onto a pass from CooperUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have been knocked off top spot in League Two following their 2-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night. The Magpies simply were not at the races as goals from Michael Raynes and Jordan Bowery gave the Railwaymen all three points. The result saw Luton Town leapfrog both Notts and Exeter City, who were hammered by the Hatters, at the top of the table. Here is the reaction from the Notts manager and the Black and White Army following the disappointing loss at GrestyUpdated by Joe Jones

A plaque commemorating the foundation of Notts County was unveiled at Nottingham's Mercure Hotel last weekend. Previously known as the George Hotel, the location - just off the city centre en route to Hockley and the Lace Market - was where "Notts Foot Ball Club" became official following a committee meeting within its walls in December 1864. Colin Slater, who has reported on the club for more than 50 years as part of BBC Radio Nottingham, revealed the tribute outside the hotel in GeorUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County fell to a 2-1 defeat at Luton Town in Saturday's League Two clash at Kenilworth Road. The Magpies began well as Elliott Hewitt opened the scoring, but goals from Ollie Palmer and Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu put the Hatters in the lead by the end of the first half and they hung onto it until the final whistle. The official Notts site has put up the match highlights, so you can have a look for yourself how the Magpies did against the Hatters as well as the game's goals.Updated by Joe Jones

Notts County achieved their first win of the season against Tranmere Rovers at Meadow Lane last Saturday. The game wasn't what fans was expecting, although for sure it is what they want to see on a weekly basis. Tranmere Rovers went into the game with their own inconsistency, although no doubt they have the ability to punish sides going forward. Pride of Nottingham is delighted to share with you these action shots, we thank Oskar and B&O Press Photo. Hopefully we will see the found coUpdated by Chris

Notts County delivered yet another poor result as they drew 0-0 with Port Vale on Saturday, which keeps the Magpies five points adrift of safety. The game was dour and unispiring, with the 22nd-placed Valiants putting in a stronger performance than the beleaguered hosts at Meadow Lane. Vale pressed their game on the hosts early on in the game and dominated proceedings, with Tom Pope seeing a close-range header ruled out for offside and Tom Conlon hit the crossbar from 25 yards. Notts County have been diabolical all season (save for like five or six games) but Saturday really took the biscuit as the League Two trip to Cheltenham Town ended in a humiliating 4-1 defeat. The hosts' opener at the Jonny Rocks Stadium came just before the half hour mark when good work on the right from Ben Tozer and Kevin Dawson culminated in Charlie Raglan crossing for Will Boyle to head home. Cheltenham then doubled their lead on 36 minutes when Billy Waters broke into the area, wAdded by PON_News

Notts County picked up another point in a dour stalemate against Morecambe in Saturday's League Two encounter at Meadow Lane. Neither side was particularly impressive, with crosses from Matt Tootle and Enzio Boldewijn the most that the Magpies could conjure up in the first half. At the other end, the Shrimps saw defender Steven Old head over the bar at the back post after connecting with a Richie Bennett cross. The second half was little better, although Boldewijn did test MorecamUpdated by PON_News

Notts County's unbeaten home record this season was maintained in dramatic fashion on Saturday by overturning a three-goal deficit to claim a 3-3 draw with Cambridge United. Uche Ikpeazu and Jevani Brown's brace appeared to have given Shaun Derry's side an unassailable advantage heading into the latter stages of Saturday's League Two encounter. However, goals from Lewis Alessandra, Shaun Brisley and Jonathan Forte rescued a point against all odds. This ensured that the Magpies wouUpdated by Joe Jones

A decent performance away at Carlise which narrowly ended in defeat, saw Notts County's attention switch back to Meadow Lane. On a day expected to see a return of many fans, it was vital that the players and even coaching staff got the tactics spot on. In a crowd of over 6k Notts played Crewe Alexandra in a game which saw four goals for the home side! What goes up must come down, and following Notts County's incredible spell between mid-August and late September, things have taken a bit of a downturn. The Magpies still remain in the upper reaches of the League Two table, but following three poor performances from the last four games, alarm bells have started ringing just a little. Up next is the long trip to Cumbria on Saturday, where Carlisle United await us. In this Opposition View, Pride of Nottingham speaks to Cumbrians fanUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County were beaten 1-0 by Exeter City on Saturday in cruel yet wholly predictable circumstances. The League Two encounter at Meadow Lane saw the Grecians fall down to ten men yet they still went on to win, in injury time of all times. Nicky Law was the match winner, stooping in to head in a Donovan Wilson cross three minutes into stoppage time. to crush Magpies hopes. Notts County's season continues to move in an upwards trajectory after an impressive display - albeit with a temporary blip - in a 4-2 win at Wycombe Wanderers in Saturday's League Two encounter at Adams Park. Richard Duffy opened the scoring with a header and some comical defending led to Adam El Abd scoring an own goal to see the Magpies two goals up early on, a position retained at the break. Wycombe, to their credit, fought back and clawed two goals back, but perseverance from NottUpdated by Chris
