In this weeks PoN's preview to the League One games played on the 28th - 29th of march, several key games have been identified – None more important than the MK Dons against Doncaster game, which several teams within League One will be looking out for. With both teams chasing a play off place, both teams will be hoping to get the three points this weekend while a win for MK Dons and results favouring them elsewhere could see them close the gap on 2nd place.

Worrying times for all Notts County fans! After losing away to MK Dons, who are firmly placed 4th in the play off places. Notts County find themselves one place above the drop zone but only by goal difference. Only 5 points separate 14th placed Gillingham and next to the bottom placed Colchester. Notts County have a game in hand over the 2 teams immediately above them, Coventry and Crawley, which will prove crucial. The battle for a play off place is no less inter

Many of the fans’ wishes came true yesterday, with the announcement of Jim Rodwell’s departure from Notts. However, what does this mean for a club like ours? More importantly, what does it mean for the future of the football club? The announcement comes at a weird time since the club needs to have as much stability as possible. In addition, rumours have emerged of Damian Irvine’s contract not being extended. On the pitch, Notts are looking

In this weeks PoN's preview to the League One games played on the 21st of March, several key games have been identified – None more important than the Crawley against Leyton Orient game, which several teams within League One will be looking out for. With both teams only in the drop zone by 3 points, a win for either team could see them move out of the drop zone and a defeat for either side just makes their relegation problems worse.

The competition for play off places is getting very interesting with only 8 points separating 5th placed Sheffield United and 15th placed Oldham. The situation at the bottom end is no less interesting with Coventry, Leyton Orient and Crawley all winning, Crewe, Colchester, Yeovil all losing and Notts, Scunthorpe and Walsall all drawing. Walsall lie 16th but are only 8 points adrift of a play off place and yet are also only 7 points above safety, which shows how tight this league

The Bantams will be making their way to Meadow Lane on the 14th of March, as they prepare to make a big for a return to a play-off space. However, the Yorkshire side will have other things on their minds which might benefit the Magpies. Notts County comes into the game with much fresher legs and a chance to use the game as a way to distance themselves from the drop. For both teams this tie should be vastly important to both, so it should be a good game.

With the downward spiral of the magpies, there have been a lot of comments pointing out Shaun Derry's future as the manager of Notts County. To a degree, I see where other fans are coming from as I have pointed out certain behaviours and aspects which niggle me surrounding Shaun Derry. However, to a level we must see that he is still learning his trade at this level. It wasn't that long ago fans were concerned about him leaving for bigger and better things.

Another disappointing result and display from Notts County, but at least the bottom 5 teams all lost too, with the exception of bottom club Yeovil who beat Oldham 2-1. Preston had a good win away at MK Dons, Sheffield United were beaten at home 1-2 by Fleetwood but Bristol City are clear leaders of League One by 10 points after winning away at Crawley 2-1. Several high scoring games took place also within League One, with a total of 30 goals being across the divis

Saturday 7th of March, Swindon Town will be hosting Notts County at the County Ground. 4th place Robins will be hoping to get back to winning ways, as their form in recent weeks has been quite poor and they will be looking to overcome this on home soil. Notts County will be hoping to reform their earlier away form which saw them peak quite highly at the start of the season. The Magpies head to the County Ground on the 7th of March, Notts County prepare to take on 4th place Swindon Town who have found themselves in perhaps the worst form they've been in throughout the whole season. The Robins have only won once within their last six games, 1 ended as a draw and four resulted in losses. Notts County come into the game having enjoyed a frustrating 1-0 victory away from home over Colchester United. This will be seen as a test for the Bla

Port Vale head to Meadow Lane on the 28th of February. Notts County will have to be steady within their approach against the Valiants, as the visiting side are in decent form and have the ability to punish any side within League One with their clever brand of football. The visitors currently sit 12th and are currently only 3 points away from the play-offs. They have won two of their last six games, drawing 1 and losing three. There is no doubt that they will be se

Yet another disappointing result for Notts fans. Bristol City, perhaps surprisingly, lost away at lowly Colchester with Swindon also being upset at home by Crewe. MK Dons helped their promotion hopes and dented Peterborough's by winning 3-0. Pride of Nottingham reflects at the business end of the League One table, as the Magpie fans will no doubt be looking ahead to Port Vale.   League One Results
