At last, a very welcome win for Notts albeit against bottom placed Leyton Orient. League One is now beginning to take shape with the top 4 clubs having a clear lead at the top. Bristol City have a game in hand which has opened up a gap in 1st place, closely followed by Swindon 4 points behind and MK Dons another point lower, still 3rd despite losing on Monday at Bradford. Preston keep 4th spot and are a further 3 points behind. There is then a gap of 10 points to

At 7:45pm tonight, Bradford City will make a claim for a play-off place again, as they take on MK Dons at the Valley Parade. Then the rest of League One return to action the day after - Tuesday 10th of February. MK Dons are presented a chance to go top of the league, at least on a temporary basis. Both teams are hot in form and I believe this lively encounter could end up as a 2-2 draw. The Bantams will perhaps be classed as the underdogs, however The Dons manager

Another disappointing day for Notts fans, losing at home to local rivals Chesterfield who now sit comfortably in the play off places at 5th in the table. The big game of the day between MK Dons and Bristol City ended as a goalless draw. Swindon and Preston remain in 2nd and 4th place respectively with Oldham moving up to 6th replacing Sheffield United who fall to 7th. There was a League One game which end up being called off, however all the other remaining fixtur

Saturday 7th of February, Notts County will be facing up against promotion chasing Chesterfield. The Spireites will be hoping a win will help them establish themselves firmly within the play-off places, however a draw or defeat would most likely see them replaced. Chesterfield won't turn up to Meadow Lane allowing us to push them over, it must be a hard working performance from Notts. The Spireites have won three of their last six games, drawing two and only losing one. Recent win

Meadow Lane hosts Chesterfield on Saturday 7th of February, as Notts County prepare to take on the Spireites in a local derby. Chesterfield currently sit 5th after winning three of their last six games, drawing two and only losing one against Swindon Town. They have scored 12 goals, having conceded 7 times. Chesterfield will be hoping the visit is just another formal encounter of their quest to remain within the play-offs, however Notts will be hoping to strike back at home with a

Results over the weekend have gone mostly as form would suggest though Notts' fans will be very disappointed with such a heavy defeat by the hands of Oldham Athletic. On Saturday there was 5 Home wins, 2 away wins and 3 draws. On Sunday we saw a home win and a draw. This weekends fixtures have widely opened up the play-off places and kept the automatic promotion widely open to the three teams in the running.   League One Results

Saturday 31st of January, Notts County head to Boundary Park to play Oldham Athletic. The Latics also find themselves requiring to improve in terms of their form, however they are scoring as of lately. Both teams will be eyeing this tie up as a must win encounter as Notts look to respond after the disappointing performance and result against Peterborough United. Former Notts County loanee Cristian Montano has accused Oldham Athletic of double standards for sacking him for alleged spot-fixing then trying to sign convicted rapist Ched Evans. The ex-West Ham player was sacked by the Latics in December 2013 only for the Crown Prosecution Service to drop their investigation earlier this month. Now the Colombian winger, 23, intends to sue Oldham, claiming that his former club "turned against" him. Oldham have so

Notts County visit Boundary Park on Saturday as the magpies prepare to take on Oldham Athletic. The Latics have only won one of their last six games, which was against Fleetwood Town. They have lost four and only drawn one. So, Notts find themselves against another team in similar form to themselves, another chance for points to be added to the scoreboard. Oldham Athletic will be seeing this as a game whereby their home advantage might sway things in their favour, however Notts mu

This weeks League One programme was curtailed due to the FA cup where hopefuls Preston and Sheffield United drew 1-1. Chesterfield lost 2-0 away at Derby. Bristol City lost at home to West Ham. The result of the round though was Bradford's unexpected 4 -2 away win at Premiership leaders Chelsea. Rochdale play Stoke tomorrow. The relegation-zone will see the most action in this weekends fixtures, all four teams have the chance to dig themselves out, provided the scores work in their favour. It will most likely boil down to only two making a successful fight, although it is interesting to see none of the bottom four teams laying down and allowing themselves to be pushovers. Notts could find themselves back within the play-offs or at least just narrowly outside with a win today, it's important that count

Saturday 24th of January, Peterborough United travel to Meadow Lane with hope of improving their own recent form. Notts will be hoping to make 2 from 2 home wins, however a draw here would also be a good outcome for both teams. Peterborough United head to Meadow Lane having lost their last two games, they have only won once in their last six games and that was against Leyton Orient. So they find themselves in quite poor form, similar to ourselves prior to our recent two results. They will be wanting to put aside this disappointment by focusing on an away win. The Posh will be calling upon their more senior players to give guidance to their young talent, as they're desperate to pick up po

However, Notts will be without the suspended Liam Noble who scored the winning and only goal against Doncaster Rovers. Notts have lost four of their last six, whilst only drawing once and of course a win last Saturday. Donny have drawn two of their last six, whilst winning three times and losing once.
