Notts County took on local rivals this afternoon and were lucky to come away with a 1-1 draw after a lethargic first-half Chesterfield team were a completely different beast in the second half. Today's game between Notts County and Coventry City is bound to go down in Magpie history. Not so much for the result, a solid 1-0 win to the visitors achieved thanks to a Garry Thompson goal in the second half, but for the actions of one of the team members. Notts County were lucky today against Crawley. Very very lucky. The amount of times they got out of jail today, you could write another series of Prison Break. Both teams were very attack-minded and got plenty of shots in, but some instances of slack defending by Notts would have surely seen Crawley pick up maximum points as they edged the Magpies on the attacking front.
