I have always been a big fan of Christopher Reeve, 'Somewhere in Time' is a good example.

Some good films there, This is England is one of the very best.

I rewatched The Matrix last night - I'd almost forgotten what a good film that is.

I'm a big fan of Russian and Polish cinema. 2 recent ones I'd recommend are Ida and Leviathan. Ida won the best foreign film at the Oscars last year. Man Of Iron and Man Of Marble are fantastic cinema. Most of Wajda's movies are worth a watch. I have nearly every film made by Shane Meadows. Love his stuff.

@Dripsey3 I have heard good things about Ida. I can also recommend  this Argentinian film...a collection of interesting stories

Great movie. Have it in my collection.

I’m not sure how this escaped my notice, @Piethagoram, but that’s quite an impressive list. I believe there’s a portion I’ve never seen, so I’ll use this as a guide for future viewing.
