Whatever has happened to Man City? 1 win, 2 draws & 8 defeats in their last 11 games. This is an unprecedented situation for the owners of the club, that have only seen success after success over the last ten years or so. It looks like even a £1billion squad isn't enough to stop the slide. They have had injuries to key players such as Rodri, but such an expensive squad should have been enough for City to continue their PL dominance. It is not looking good for the Champions, & in particular, their Manager, Pep Guardiola, who is highly regarded across World Football. With the recent results any other manager would be under pressure, however Pep has recen…

Stuart Maynard has been talking quite a lot about the strength of the Notts County squad. He talks about it almost every time he gives an interview. We've also talked on here about how football has changed, particularly from the middle 60s when I started taking an interest in Association Football, as it was called then. Football was an eleven man game then, squads were never mentioned at all. Clubs had a reserve team which played in their own league. The best player would be picked from the reserve team to be the only substitute during a first team game. If a goalie got injured an outfield player would go in goal. Reserves have now gone, it has been r…

Brighton 2-1 Man City A fourth successive defeat for Manchester City. It is the first time in Pep Guardiola's managerial career he's lost four games in a row. It is also the first time Manchester City have lost four successive games in 18 years, since Stuart Pearce was manager. Pep under big pressure. The Owners won't be happy. Can he survive?

I think it would be difficult to rule out Ronnie Radford's goal for non league Hereford v Newcastle in February 1972, when Radford helped Hereford beat First Division Newcastle in a Third Round Replay. Just look at the state of the pitch.

There is absolutely no loyalty in football nowadays. Mark took Coventry from league 2 to the championship & just missed out on getting promoted to the Premier League. An FA Cup Semi Final too where Coventry were robbed of a Final place. Coventry are currently in 17th place, just 7 points from a playoff place. I don't think that this is a wise decision by Coventry. Thoughts?
