When I first started watching Notts they had 11 players & 1 sub only in a game. Pitches became very poor & bare during the winter, & the tackles used to fly in too. Players became injured but not to the extent that we see today. There could be many reasons for this. They also need to be able to read the game & make quick decisions under pressure. They need to have the ability of being in the right place at the right time. They need to be fit, strong & have plenty of energy to run into space & create space for others. A good striker should be able to link up well with other teammates, hold up the ball & maintain possession. Strikers should have good ball striking abilities & be good in the air. They should also be able to help …

The Carabao Cup (League Cup) used to be a Cup competition that was worth winning, but many teams now, especially in the early rounds, field weakened teams such as squad players or B team players. Is it time that the Carabao Cup format was changed? For example, those teams that qualify for Europe could be excluded & clubs from the National League could be included. By excluding those clubs playing in Europe, the competition would be equalled out somewhat, & including National league sides would give much needed revenue to those clubs in that league. Interest in the competition has waned so much that even supporters don't care much if their team…
