Sadlad will be Gladlad tonight after Saddlers 3-0 win away, keeping them just above Notts and so close to a play off spot. Feel sorry for the Shrews equallising in the 90th min after having a player sent off in the 37th min only for table topping Doncaster to score in the 93rd min.Heartbreaking! Hartlepool score 3 against Crewe to help their survival prospects. Bury, who Notts completely outplayed last Friday, win away at 4th placed Swindon. There's still a long way to go and a lot of teams still have a lot to play for.

Ok, it's time to come clean, I once visited the shitty ground! Yes I know it is a cardinal sin for a Notts fan but I feel better for confessing and hopefully it makes it better when I say I stood with the Everton fans and supported Everton. It was 1967 and I was 15 and living in the Meadows and a big Notts County fan even then. The lad next door was a die-hard Florist fan and had a ticket to their FA Cup Quarter Final match v Everton. He was ill so he couldn't make it so he offered it to me. I went and as I say I stood with the Everton fans and supported them. I can remember how nice the Everton fans were and took me as one of their own, I wasn't very big and it was a…

This is quite funny, a Coventry fan phoned his radio station bemoaning the fact that Coventry had only drawn 0-0 with Crewe but apparently he left two minutes before the game ended and missed two Coventry goals. Here is a recording of the phone in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21534620

Ok so it seems Billy Davies was in Nottingham today....What do members think of this news? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/feb/06/billy-davies-nottingham-forest Personally, I'm not his biggest fan. I don't understand why clubs bring back managers that they have sacked in the past? Sure unfinished buisness but still I can not see the logic. Been a while since both Nottingham football clubs were without managers! Hopefully he is definitely over the other side of the Trent as I wouldn't like him to manage NCFC personally

Oldham force replay with Everton Oldham caretaker manager Tony Philliskirk hailed his side's spirit after they earned a money-spinning FA Cup fifth round replay against Everton. Towering striker Matt Smith was the Latics' hero once again as his header in the fourth minute of stoppage time earned the League One strugglers another crack at their Premier League opponents following the 2-2 draw at Boundary Park. Having knocked out Liverpool in the previous round, Oldham again had Merseyside opposition reeling when Jordan Obita gave them a 13th-minute lead. Victor Anichebe restored parity midway through the first half before Everton edged ahead when Phil Jagielka h…

I'm sat in my living room watching Oldham 3 - 1 up over Liverpool. How would Notts fans feel had Mansfield made this round instead of Liverpool, it would of been quite something for Oldham having featured themselves against 3 teams within your neck of the woods. Liverpool have just scored, iffy call if you ask me. Smith is down but a deflected shot goal goes in. Still chance for them to come back into the game. What a cracking round!!

Rushcliffe Rovers new owners have now sacked FD John Pelling, Ops Man. Brandon Furse, Media Man. Fraser Hinds and Academy Dir Nick Marshall. Between then they have 58yrs combined service to club. What the hell is going on over there? I didn't think you could just sack people like that in this day and age, don't they need grounds to get rid of them, don't they have to go through procedures, verbal warnings, written warnings, etc. etc., I would imagine that the morale in the the club is at absolutely rock bottom at the moment.

Five years ago this week, the Premier League put forward plans to create a new round of fixtures to be played overseas. The idea was discarded fairly quickly, amid national and international condemnation, but since then there have been several developments in European football which have seen the Italian and Spanish Supercups exported overseas. This article looks at whether the English game could follow in their footsteps. Please have a look and comment! http://debatehome.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/the-39th-game-revisited.html

Nott'm Forest 2 - 3 Oldham Athletic By Owen Phillips BBC Sport at the City Ground League One strugglers Oldham Athletic produced a stunning second-half fightback to dump Championship side Nottingham Forest out of the FA Cup. Matt Smith turned the ball into his own net to gift Forest a first-half lead. But Robbie Simpson followed up a brilliant 25-yard strike with a deft header to make it 2-1 to the Latics. And Jose Baxter's stunning free-kick, after Danny Collins was sent off, earned a sensational win despite Billy Sharp's late strike. Full Article (If you dare)

Mario Balotelli & Roberto Mancini in 'training ground bust-up' Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli appears to have been involved in a training ground bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini. A picture agency has released photographs it says were taken on Thursday morning of the pair having to be separated by staff and team-mates at Carrington training ground. City have declined to comment. Mancini is expected to answer questions about the incident at his news conference on Friday morning. "It's believed Mancini reacted to a challenge from Balotelli on one of his team-mates," said BBC radio 5 live senior football reporter Ian Dennis. "In one of the photos …

Alex McLeish has been appointed the new manager of Nottingham Forest. Alex McLeish has been appointed the new manager of Nottingham Forest. The former Aston Villa, Birmingham City and Scotland boss replaces Sean O'Driscoll, who was sacked on 26 December after five months in charge. "I believe he's the man who can help us fulfil our ambition of making it to the Premier League," said Forest chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi. McLeish said: "The fact a club of Forest's magnitude has offered me a job excites me greatly." The Scot, 53, has been out of football since being sacked by Villa at the end of last season after 11 months at the helm. "I've had time away from the gam…

Full Article Crazy, I heard about this but it wasn't until my dad asked me earlier if I had seen it that I knew exactly what happened. How can a player who's professional carry out this type of behaviour throughout a game? I can't find any videos that show him doing it repeatedly, although I have heard from a few people that it was mutiple times. [media ]http://youtu.be/-xcA9sDCqVs

So Milton Keynes 'Dons' host AFC Wimbledon in round 2 of the FA Cup. Not surprisingly it'll be shown live on ITV1. Quite a few AFC Wimbledon supporters are not planning on travelling to MK because they dont want to give money to MK. I can also see where they're coming from when they say looking at fans in mk colours would just be too much, Could be a fiesty affair! Vinny Jones to come out of retirment for one match? ;D

I've read a few reports today that have mentioned Sol's willing to take a major pay cut to move to newcastle. Now I personally think he's holding out for the wrong reason, as in my opinion he's only hanging around for a premiership offer and that seems to include any team that may go up. Nothing wrong with that, but he's pretty much past an international place and the only chance he has is for "experienced" though as a brit I think england need more youngsters to get a chance and there's really better call such as upson. When the world cup comes he'd probably need a zimmer frame because he's already pretty slow. I wish him luck with whoever he choices, personally I don'…

I just heard that despite playing pretty well, they was forced back by aston villa at home resulting in a 3 - 1 thrashing. This is good to see! Aston Villa in recent times have done some great stuff, they're a side full of players which "are labeled" good but have never really gelled with previous teams and Mr O'Neil is showing the reason why he's a top manager. Hey steve, good news huh? I think this will be helping you guys no end. Sorry Vicky! Torres couldn't fight it.. haha ~Joe
