http://www.nottinghampost.com/Nottingham-Forest-boss-Billy-Davies-makes-fresh/story-20434759-detail/story.html Is this anything Forest fan's should be worried about? We all know Billy doesn't like the media, so why is he now using them to plea to the owners?

Goole FC have told player Karl Colley he will never play for them again after he assaulted a supporter during today's game, exacly 19 years after Eric Cantona's famous kung-fu kick at Selhurst Park. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/10597543/Goole-FC-player-does-a-Cantona-on-a-visiting-supporter-exactly-19-years-after-the-Frenchmans-king-fu-kick.html You do wonder what was said to provoke such a reaction, but you can't do that and he should know a lot better.

Anyone else bored out their mind with United 'fans' who take over facebook every time they don't win? It's getting too much now. Most of them aren't from Manchester, never go to games, yet stake some claim as its 'their club'. Cant just be me fed up with these trolls?

Tonight I am going to watch my home town team Alfreton Town on BT Sport 2.I haven't seen them live for over 40 years but I'm sure it will bring back a lot of memories.I remember them being re-formed in 1959 and going on their ground preseason with my mates dad and uncle who helped in preparing fencing etc in preparation for the new season. They were in the Central Alliance then and the first match was against the previous seasons champions,Arnold St.Mary's.They won this match 6-2.Little did we imagine ,at the time, that Alfreton Town would progress to within touching distance of The Football League and be on the telly.Happy days.

I'm not sure this is the right section to post this, moderators/admin feel free to move it. I just caught something on Radio Red this morning about Nottingham Ladies FC, apparently Ray is/was heavily involved in Lincoln FC Ladies and he has transferred them to Notts County Ladies and they have won a bid to be in the top flight of Ladies Soccer. This is all much to annoyance of Nottingham Fword Ladies who have missed out on their bid, they are very annoyed that they didn't know they were bidding against another Nottingham team and thought it was Lincoln. Nice to get one over the Red Dogs, well done Ray. As usual Radio Red had their red tinted glasses on and…

A big game for @super_ram tonight, the rams will go fox hunting in search for a cracking result. Who do I favour? I personally think Derby will take the game, especially if they score early on. Leicester City are a little inconsistent and Derby's in good form. This will hopefully be a really good game and for those at home, why not join in with this discussion? It's live on Sky Sports. If I can find a suitable stream, I will share it here. COME ON YOU RAMS!!

I'm not fully aware how the current system works, although I know there's a lot of politics and limitations for smaller clubs. I think Shaun Derry said is his interview the other night that youth team football's results (with the greatest of respect) doesn't matter, now I agree but only because they're still learning. I personally think it would be fairer to structure the leagues to replicate the real football league, although I guess the big boys wouldn't like this. A lower clubs youth setup might be able to cut it against the wonderkids and future stars of the Premier League. If our grass root's really going to be successful, I think this would aid it. You can only i…

Former Aston Villa and Germany midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger has revealed he is gay. The 31-year-old, who won 52 caps for Germany and also played for West Ham and Everton, made the announcement in newspaper Die Zeit. He is the most prominent footballer to publicly reveal his homosexuality and said it was "a good time" to do so. "I'm coming out about my homosexuality because I want to move the discussion about homosexuality among professional sportspeople forwards," he added in the interview. I say good on him. Whatever you do consensually with other adults in your spare time behind closed doors is up to you. Really, I don't care whether you're white, black, Asian, Je…

I've just watched that lot thrash West Ham.I hate to admit it but West Ham were totally outplayed.Yes,I know West Ham fielded a much weakened side but where was their passion and pride. With better finishing that lot could have reached double figures!Just settling down to watch The Rams but not feeling very confident.

Link I like when teams and fans (especially) can put a-side rivalry and the negative side to our passionate sport, by doing something graceful and very kind. Bournemouth fans have done a very grand gesture here! Credit to them

Link http://www.london24.com/sport/crystal-palace/crystal_palace_target_refuses_to_play_for_wolves_1_3175091 What does everyone think to this if true? Didn't he once have a long term injury and Wolves stood by him? Has this ever happened before, when a player linked with another club outright refused to play, or said they 'didn't want to play', before a proposed move? I think it's outrageous. Basically, he's refusing to work for the company that pays his wages. Stupid too, especially with it being a televised game, where it's likely to be highly publicised. Of course, it could simply be that he was asked whether he'd prefer not to play, and he answered ho…

Linked to Reds again: West Brom's Graham Dorrans, shown here in Premier League action against Manchester City's James Milner. Nottingham Forest are poised to make a second bid to bring Graham Dorrans to the City Ground . The Reds failed with a deadline day bid to sign the West Brom midfielder before the loan deadline at the end of November. The deal collapsed with the two clubs unable to agree a fee to make the move permanent in the future, before the loan window closed. But Billy Davies' side are understood to have revived their interest in the Scotland international, who has found himself out of favour at the Hawthorns. Read More: Here

Should Mansfield sack Paul Cox? I personally wouldn't, I think he needs more time but I am blind to the politics around the club. @Dan's mentioned this a couple of times on FB, though I think he's done well to get Mansfield back into the league and having fans/a dumb chairman who talks about Championship football before the clubs barely walking - It don't help! Ideas start floating a way.. Bonus poll - They need a striker, we need the wages.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/wales/25526438 Is this a sign of things to come in English football? Would this kind of thing happened to us if Munto were the real deal? What club is Mackay going to walk into? My dad is hoping Norwich, with Hughton looking like he may be getting the boot soon.

Did anyone else watch Mansfield v Oldham the other night, I was interested to see that Oldham had Michael Petrasso playing for them and he looked very useful, he was linked with Notts not long ago, shame we didn't get him. He played a major role in Oldham's 4-1 win.

Have heard up here that the above transfer could take place. He is a central defender 19 and is currently on trial. Being on trial is nothing new for him, as he was jailed for killing two in a car accident where he was doing over 50mph in a 30. Just wondered what the reaction of the fans will be, as they were rather vocal on Lee Hughes' presence at Notts. There is a good chance of some hypocrisy here. He was given a 16 month sentence in regard to the killings. Which seems lenient considering Lee got 6 years for causing the death of one person, although his sentence had failing to report and leaving the scene included. Apart from the obvious pitiful sentenc…

Yesterday I was pretty bored, so I thought I would pass some time by listening to the Forest game live on BBC Nottingham (radio). To my delight the Lions took an early lead, although this was dashed when Fatty Reid equalized. Millwall went on to score another, as did Florist - However Millwall can feel hard done they should have had a pen! Anyway, @Dan got confronted by Billy Davies whom doesn't really know where he's from and why he was taking pictures at a football match! So strange! They mentioned it on the radio and I literally said 'Dan'.... Joking to myself that it might be him, it was. Disgraceful! That 'Dammit Dan' strikes again!

Derby County has sold the naming rights of the Pride Park stadium and it will now be known as iPro Stadium in a 10 year deal that is worth £7 million. I'd be interested in @super_ram's thoughts on this one. Also how would Notts fans feel if Meadow Lane was renamed. Personally I wouldn't mind what it was called (within reason) as long as it brought in some much needed funds to help us get out of the mess we are in. What do others think?

Full Article - Here He's a player I honestly thought would do well with us and without making excuses, I felt the lack of game time, position changes and the situation with managers didn't help - although this is football. He came back from time to time and looked useful but never really cut it at our level and over period of time he slumped again. I think the point where I felt he wasn't good enough came at Swindon last year, none the less I wish him well at Mansfield. He's a good player in League Two, much different and if he can rekindle his Macclesfield Town days. He will no doubt be able to make the transition up with a team he's established in Hope it works out…
