  2. I got as far as Canterbury East on the train, before turning back.
  3. What impressed me, we saw out injury time by keeping possession for long periods. We actually looked liked we know who to close games out now!!! Well done to all, a real team effort
  4. Eastleigh compacted space so well, everyone behind the ball...our best chance, absurdly in a way was when they had possession..but we are not quick enough to counterattack. Teams know we are vulnerable to the high ball into our box... Need some real thought process into our central defensive personnel
  5. Eastleigh well organised in defence, didn't allow us any space Played as a team, no real star players Tyrone Barnett scored...Notts I believe, tried to sign when he was with Macclesfield...subsequently went from Crawley to Peterborough for £1.1m Notts not good enough defensively...too many goals being conceded by defenders switching off, will cost us promotion
  6. @Elite_pieanalysis spot on as usual. Defence remains weak, (both central and full backs) we cannot defend the high ball again. need a Neal Bishop type to complement Palmer's Phil Turner impression. Slick forwards find away past us too, whereas Wootton seems ponderous at times. No real urgency when we have the ball and many times, wrong options are being chosen.
  7. Last season's play offs were Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday... with a week to prepare, Notts should be match tuned whilst Torquay have had a longer break without a competitive match.
  8. Actually, I would not be surprised if Bromley get through to the final. Very well organised and although Notts should have been well ahead by H/T. Bromley have that resilience in defence
  9. Rawlinson still gives me nightmares when in possession in a back 3. Perhaps, we were stronger attacking as Barnet had a back 3 too, there was then room for the wing backs to get forward. With the current squad, a back 4 is still my preferred option
  10. Our manager fast becoming a Jamie Fullarton Mark II . Talks a good game but cannot motivate a team
  11. Unfortunately @Super_Danny_Allsopp analysis is right. No motivation, no nothing... they just don't care. Only player who could beat a man was Ruben and he got subbed
  12. but he is being double marked! Bumpy pitch aint helping
  13. great free kick from Rodrigues 1-1 at half time Rawlinson and Turner making serious mistakes when in possession
  14. Get out of jail card was found lying around... Ardley will be asked to walk if promotion not achieved.
  15. I believe the Xg stats are showing a low ratio of chance creation but that we are relatively strong at the back..but even then we are outperforming the graph, given the chances the opposition are failing to convert
  16. We are now playing Oxford City
  17. I fear missing Sam Slocombe could be crucial. Defence will need to step up to protect Pilling especially.
  18. @Super_Danny_Allsoppagreed, George Saunders their stand out amongst the mediocrity https://www.hornchurchfc.com/player/george-saunders/
  19. On reflection, going a man down, one would normally see someone like Knowles, Enzio or Ruben substituted for JOB. Full credit for Ardley to keeping the team "shape", a lesson on not "backs to the wall and booting it anywhere" but keeping possession, not allowing the Daggers to get control of the ball to make their numerical advantage count.
