Barrow are certainly underachieving this season. It was almost a foregone conclusion that Barrow would be looking for another manager, sooner rather than later, so this news s not surprising. They will certainly have to up their game considerably if they are going to have any chance of sneaking into the playoffs this season. Frankly, I think it will be very hard for them, but we saw with Doncaster last season that a team can go on a good run.

As far as I know there has been no official announcement. I do know that David McGoldrick has filled in as Captain on occasions. I would appoint David McGoldrick as Vice Captain. He leads by example, & he is such an example to the young players, with his hard work and determination.

My top four Notts players who stood out for me were Matty Platt, Alassana Jatta, George Abbott, David McGoldrick My standout today is once again David McGoldrick, who scored two but could have had a hat full of goals today. It's not just the goals he's scoring, it's his work rate which is just phenomenal at the moment. Is he really 37 years old?
