  1. this is great news, we all know what aaron nemane brings to the squad and i think the new deal brings a lot of confidence. also, luke williams handling of this has been excellent.
  2. he knows where we had to improve and has gone about signing good players to fill in those gaps, i think with the players going back to training it does show a lot of faith that hes open to discussing things so early.
  3. please keep posting these from time to time, @Fan of Big Tone. i think its nice to read something to reflect on.
  4. i love horror, i used to watch it with my dad. my mum has never liked horror films, its not the blood or gore but the darkness. shes easily creeped out, so i would watch them with my dad. after they split, i would have regular horror film nights with him. i remember when i was like 10, watching a film about new york i think, it had the underground in and there was murders happening. at the same time the lead character was exploring bugs and insects. there is this boy who plays spoons and i think he has learning problems as i can remember relating to his isolation. i cant remember what its called but it was a human like bug killing and eating people. it looked a bit like the jeeper, from jeepers creepers but a lot more mysterious. final destination, scary movie, i know what you did last summer all great classics.
  5. @Natty thank you for sharing your story with @Chris, i enjoyed this and thought it told a great story of your history supporting notts. the parts about your family and wife, it really made the story standout.
  6. its hard to see how things change over the years, new shops crop up but nothing is quite the same. from the video, i don't remember many of the shops mentioned its all before my time.
  7. it all reads very promising and i hope that he enjoys playing for notts when he gets the chance. i hope either he or brooks will start certain cup games as that could be a great way to see how they do.
  8. its a good thing that he know john bostock, hopefully he will know other players and our style of play should continue to attract players who want to perform football the right way. no hoofing it 90% of the time or performing unconvincingly. what he says really does show that notts has transformed in the 4 years we have been owned by the reedtz. everyone at the club has done a magnificent job and i hope it continues to pay off.
  9. promising, i do think if we get off to a good start that notts can really push for a top 3 finish. the squad we are putting together looks good enough, fixtures are promising. with the right results, who knows?
  10. everything about him sounds very promising, i think when you label a player sometimes that just hinders them and makes it harder for them to establish their own abilities. dan crowley looks to be a great signing. hes someone younger fans can look up to as well.
  11. well done @Fan of Big Tone i am determined to start picking up points myself.
  12. very enjoyable read of our days in the national league, it was a good summary of the ups and downs. i think we grew and handled most setbacks well. whilst improving on the signing front. our first season we did not have the time to spend long in the recruitment department, signs had to be made and whilst they did have time to train we have grown from this point. i also share the same sentiments that winning the playoffs felt better than winning the league. that said, i would like to avoid going behind in two games only to win and going up as champions once again would be nice. though i would happily re do wembley all over again.
  13. i am stoked about this signing, he seems a player of real quality and someone notts are lucky to have snapped up. i think he sees the ambition and forward direction in which the club is going. its a very good coup for notts, i am excited about this one.
  14. i wished he had the chance to play for a bit at wembley but he was a firm part of the celebrations. his rallying to the players to stay calm, i think helped. i dont think jim could single hardly change the outcome of our relegation but him and michael doyle did make a difference. i am happy that jim o'brien is still here because he deserves to see the club back to where we belong. hes been very important to our journey moving forward.
  15. i think we already follow each other, i think engaging with each outside of pon would be a nice touch. i have been doing this with tony, but i dont tend to tweet much because of unpleasant comments by some on there. i stay within my comfort and i think it would be nice to support our pon friends. is there a way we could create a circle between all of us? i dont really understand that feature tho. yes, i like allardyces tash. i wont tag dangeroussausage in but both of those two have a good sense of humour.
  16. does anyone think the 4 years so far has flown by? i know it will because things are good, but it just seems to have swept past. its a shame we could not skip the last two owners, as i think the reedtz would have us playing higher if they took over after we won league two. even skipping all the petty and stupid drama would be nice. those days when the bills had not been paid just dragged and dragged.
  17. after a busy day at work, this is great news to come home to. i am so pleased that kyle cameron has signed. he said on twitter that it had been signed for awhile, so the club has known where to build. hes a good captain and will only get better.
  18. i agree, his experience and character is a great thing to have the dressing room and club. we are lucky to have him and i hope he enjoys the season ahead. fingers crossed he impresses, i hope he would coach for notts down the lane.
  19. i really should follow some of the newer members, i think community focused things like this can and may bring fans together. i love seeing the banter between @super_ram, @Fan of Big Tone. Even @Fozzy is getting involved. #teamfozzy @DangerousSausage is also someone who tends to be community focused. i will make sure i follow the right people.
  20. i have not met tony in person but i have spoken to him on facebook, hes a good fan and passionate about notts. he does his own djing which i think is pretty cool. this is a great insight into his years of supporting notts.
  21. notts fans are proud to have you at notts, jodi. go and play your game against england and i hope you do well. a lot of us will be wishing the same thing. ???????? ????????
  22. he comes across as such a genuine person, i am looking forward to seeing him play for notts. i think this squad we are building will do well and with david mcgoldrick in the squad. i think we have the talent to push forward. seeing him turn down derby to come home, its something quite special and adds to the optimism i feel.
  23. some great points mentioned, if i was an oxford united fan i would be delighted to get ruben on a free. people might think its a big step up from national league but he did that convincingly, he should get more time on the ball and turn he should be able to use it more wisely. I am disappointed to see him go, not with him but because notts needs to make sure players are leaving on fees rather frees. we had plenty of time to talk him into signing a new deal, even if it was just another season. good luck to him though.
  24. Use your trusty ram... ????????
  25. the gaffer has added some excellent content since this was last updated, i thought i would help and try to encourage the readers of my message to give them a read. dont forgot to leave a comment if you have something to say.
