Stephen McLaughlin Joins On Loan
Irish born Stephen McLaughlin has joined Notts County after agreeing an initial month’s loan deal from neighbours Nottingham Forest. The 24-year-old started his career with League of Ireland outfit Finn Harps back in 2009 before making a move to fellow Irish side Derry City. McLaughlin then signed for Nottingham Forest on the 3rd of January 2013, with a reported fee of around £160,000 having been paid to acquire his services. He had a short spell at League One promotion chasers Bristol City back in 2013, but under Stuart Pearce, McLaughlin has made four appearances from the bench and a further two as a first team player. He's held with high regard by the former England Under 21 manager, who has helped to spearhead his role with the Reds into a more prominent one within the first team. McLaughlin featured as part of the Forest team that played Tottenham in the Capital One Cup last week where, after taking the lead, they went on to lose 3-1 at White Hart Lane. Chesterfield 1 - 1 Notts County
Good result, this is proof that teams up there are breakable. It's a shame we didn't hold on or score one of the other chances but Chesterfield came at us. You knew they would get back into it!

Notts County 0 - 0 Oldham Athletic
I want to see our penalty appeal, I don't think Harrad did himself any favours but always looked like a draw to me. The disappointing thing for me was seeing some players try and chase everything, though little movement from anyone to support. The game felt like a friendly to me.

Stat Attack: Notts County v Oldham Athletic
Always worth the read JJ, really good stat attack. I hope we experience a day like last year, yet with a win because we could do with being lifted right now.

Stat Attack: Preston v Notts County
This opening fixture for me will be like a friendly, I really don't know what to expect from the game but I will be right behind the squad. I think it's going to be a draw but hopefully no matter the outcome we will see a passionate, dedicated performance from our new squad. I am very keen to see Roy Carroll.

Match Report: Oldham Athletic 1-1 Notts County, 3 May 2014
When they scored my heart sank, however a portion of us tried to inspire the lads. We stood up and sung our lads on, then more joined in. Very pleased! It might not be pretty football but who cares, we just needed to survive and we have.

Notts County Ladies 5 - 0 Aston Villa Ladies
I wished the BBC would get radio coverage sorted, mind you the club could do with providing it themselves if they could. It would be awesome! Great result for our Ladies, you just get prouder and prouder!

Swindon Town - Action Shots
The greatest of all "great escapes" is firmly in the hands of Notts County, as on Saturday the 26th 2014 they took on Swindon Town who had a slim hope of making the playoffs. Notts needed a win realistically to give them an added boost to the final game against of the season against Oldham, however a draw would have been okay. Notts however put on a good display and overcame the playoff chasing Swindon Town. Final score 2-0, a late goal by Callum McGregor after Swindon pushed for an equalizer and got caught on the break by the Magpies. Mobile Users please visit | Gallery. Notts County 2 - 0 Swindon Town
What a brilliant result! I honestly didn't see us winning the game like we did, however some of their fans might say their sending(s) off changed the game. It was pretty much in our hands anyway and their persistent fouling was a joke really. People behind me seemed to believe they was trying to get it postponed. Oh well, I think they just lost it towards the end myself. COYPS!

Crawley Town - Action Shots
Yesterday's game against Crawley Town installed further hopes that Notts County are not through with battling. The greatest of great escapes is firmly set for the last game of the season, after Notts secured an home win over struggling Crawley Town. The final result, a narrow 1-0 win which is thanks to a brilliant team effort and of course County's number Bartosz Bialkowski, who made several key saves during the game. Here you will be able to view some cracking photos taken from yesterday game by our friends B&O Press Photo, many thanks to them! Mobile Users please visit | Gallery. The Final Furlong - relegation dogfight
Man that would be good, I also did this but in person and to a couple of friends. We all agreed Notts could be safe if the remaining results went the way we predicted, now we have two teams to rely on (the 3rd is a bonus), yet another Carlisle need to slip up. Great blog mate!

Football Manager 2014 - Notts View
You can tell me that! I played as Derby, signed some decent players and only managed to draw once. Same tactics but within the full version, I was a play off side. The quick version is awful! I really think it's got a bug which makes winning impossible. I haven't tried it since, though my normal version. I managed Charlton and 3rd!

Everton Ladies 0 - 2 Notts County Ladies
Very good win for Notts! I also guessed the right score, just a fluke but very pleased for them.
-
Bristol City 2 - 1 Notts County
This leaves us quite a bit of weight for Monday's game, making it even more important. A slip up might confirm our fate, yet I think that we will bounce back. Hollis grabbing a goal, Spencer and JCR put in good shifts from the sounds of it. Good team effort.

David you should drive up to a game sometime, it's well worth it. You'll get in for free if you do so before the end of May

Arsenal LFC - Action Shots
Yesterday Notts County LFC kicked off their season at Meadow Lane to Arsenal LFC, over 1,583 fans queued to get into see the ladies play and the overall impression was very impressive. Notts County started off by taking the lead, Jess Clarke perfectly timed a run and scored a good goal. Arsenal LFC pulled level from Alex Scott. You can read our full match report - Here. Stat Attack: Bristol City v Notts County
We have a lot to remember in this game, though the outcome I would hope for is a draw (yet we could win). Bristol City haven't really impressed me, Cotterill's got them together but they're still a young squad and we can take them on our form. Good preview Joe!

Notts County Ladies 1 - 1 Arsenal Ladies
Notts ladies were very impressive, they passed the ball around far better than Arsenal in first half. The game started quite slow, though it became lively and I felt disappointed with the gunners. Very proud of the NCFC ladies, 1000+ fans is great going.
