  1. Wealdstone take the lead. Notts never do it the easy way do they?
  2. Wealdstone adopted a care free attitude after it was clear that there would be no relegation last season. They scored 49 goals and conceded a whopping 99 goals. Nots beat them 3-0 at the Lane and 1-0 at their place. Wealdstone are far more resilient this season. They held Dagenham to a 2-2 draw away from home. They drew with Southend as well. They are on a 3 match unbeaten run. IB will have his homework done and Notts will not take this game lightly. You'd expect Notts to win and I think they will but it will be tough. Chesterfield beat them 2-0 but it took 85 minutes to finally kill the game off. It could be similiar tonight. 2-0 to Notts is my prediction.
  3. Notts finally take the lead. All that was missing was a goal and Cal delivered. Sounds like it was a fantastic free kick. Need to win this. These are the games that decide whether you finish first or in the playoffs.
  4. Weymouth have scored 7 goals in 2 games. They have won 2 in a row. They beat a decent Solihull Moors 4-3 away in their last game. Their confidence will be high. They are an attack minded side. I think it will be a goal fest. 5-3 to Notts.
  5. Well that was eventful. 3 points in the bag which is the most important thing. Responded well after going behind. That's the sign of a good side. Plenty of work to do but it's been a decent start. I'm happy.
  6. Aldershot are poor. They will be fighting relegation. If Notts play to their potential, it will be a routine win. 3-0 to Notts.
  7. That's Phil Parkinson for you. Wrexham fans will have sore necks watching his style of football. Phil better hope it works, I doubt he'll get much time if things start to go wrong.
  8. A draw was a fair result. You could see that Notts are closer to being the finished article. Wrexham showed flashes of how good they will be as the season progresses. I'd expect them to sign at least 2 more quality signings. They've invested well so far.
  9. Wrexham picked up their first win on Saturday. They have 4 points from 2 difficult away games. This is their first home game. I think playing away actually suits Notts better. Wrexham will be playing in front of an expectant home crowd. That brings its own pressure. I think it will end 3-3.
  10. We conceded a goal against 10 men. No surprise that it was a header. Wootton does what Wootton does and despite it resembling the Alamo, Torquay held on. 2 points dropped? Yes. On to Monday.
  11. Torquay are not as good as they were last season. They'll be doing well if they make the playoffs. It will be interesting to see how Notts deal with a big crowd. It should be a fantastic atmosphere. I'll go for a nervy 1-0 win.
  12. Call me crazy, but I think we'll win 5-0. All the goals in the 2nd half.
  13. We conceded 6 goals in 2 games. No way you win promotion conceding that amount of goals. Torquay are a decent side. They deserved their win, even if that penalty was dodgy to say the least. Notts kept going to the bitter end. Can't fault their effort.
  14. I'm expecting an absolute rollercoaster ride! I think it will rain goals. 4-3 AET to Notts is my prediction. Given Torquay's petulant behaviour, I expect them to have a temper tantrum on the pitch and their Mums will have to be called. Bold boys.
  15. Bromley are the dark horses for sure. They managed the game brilliantly yesterday. Their consistency is impressive. They don't panic.
  16. Notts could have been out of sight by half time. Didn't really show up in the 2nd half. Didn't deserve anything out of the game.
  17. Notts need to keep the momentum going. A loss wouldn't be the end of the world but it would kill the feel good factor we are experiencing at the moment. The fans deserve a home game in the playoffs. IB knows this and he'll deliver IMO.
  18. Playoff spot secured. 4th place is still up for grabs. Bromley away next weekend will have the feel of a playoff game which is good practice for Notts. Gets us ready for the real playoffs.
  19. Win and we are in, the playoffs that is. I think we will win and in some style. 3-0 to Notts.
  20. You'd expect Notts to win and they did. It was a decent performance. Ruben has been the driving force over the last few games.
  21. Barnet hit rock bottom in early April when they lost 5-1 at Wealdstone. They responded by going on a 4 match unbeaten run. The mini revival was ended by Sutton but it was only 1-0. They lost to Dagenham but then bounced back with a win away to Weymouth. I expect Barnet to sit back and try to hit Notts on the break. They can't go toe to toe with Notts because they don't have the quality. If Notts apply themselves properly, it will be an away win. I'm going for 3-1 to Notts.
  22. If the players adopt the same attitude as they did against Altrincham, this could get ugly. I expect they won't because Sutton are a step up and they won't under estimate them. We won at their place back in October. Easily one of the best results we had this season. Notts are not in a good place right now. Either we'll get a big boost with a win or the cloud of gloom will grow after another demoralizing defeat. Or we could draw and be happy enough. I'll go for a draw.
  23. Is it just me or does it feel like the players have given up? There's no drive. No urgency. No ambition. It would be a miracle if we made the playoffs now. IB is trying but it's not working. There's little point in getting rid of him now. Maybe he will grow into the role.
  24. Wow. We failed to beat a team who have been absolutely rubbish in their last 2 games. What else is there to say!
  25. 1-0 down to Altrincham. Hard to believe but there it is. We'll have another manager by Monday if it stays like this!
