  1. In my opinion, the penalty decision was rather lenient given the way Jayden Richardson fell. He collapsed as if he had been tripped, then protested once his teammates started calling for it. I thought they were overly physical, almost to the point of excess. The number of times Kyle Wootton seemed to be wrestling with Aden Baldwin was notable. We had three excellent opportunities, the shot David McGoldrick took, perhaps it would have been better to pass to Macaulay Langstaff. Macca himself had that attempt where his aim just needed a bit more precision and Jodi Jones who shot wide of the goal. It was a very entertaining match between two top teams. Notts may lack a bit of quality, but they demonstrated unity and determination against Stockport.

  4. Welcome to our community! We’re delighted to have you here @Morten Johansen
  5. I don’t usually watch a lot of football, especially matches outside England. But, I’m excited to watch this one. I’m eager to see how Barcelona performs.
  6. The match had a shaky start, but it eventually found its rhythm. The second half was a game-changer. We started playing more like Crawley did in the first half. We put a lot of pressure on them and looked much more threatening. Realistically, we could have scored two more goals if our decisions and finishing were better. But, I’m happy we managed to bounce back after being 1-0 down.

  10. Tommy Lawton's advocacy for better pay shows he was a man ahead of his times. Great on and off the pitch.
  11. Extraordinary achievement for the club, playing the 5000th Football League match! Such a detailed look back, incredibly nostalgic. Can't wait for the Gillingham game.
  12. Swindon Town might be the first real challenge for a disheartened Notts side. We need to see a stronger performance, especially in defence. It could become frustrating if this continues, with the possibility of complaints during the match.
  13. It’s mostly disappointing because of the way we handed goals to Colchester United. They played brilliantly, but our mistakes led to their victory. They made us work hard for the goals we scored. We can’t be so effective in attack if we can’t defend leads. We are not a team managed by Ricardo Moniz.
  14. Things don’t look promising for them. It would be unfortunate if financial issues affected their season’s start.
  15. The commentary had some puzzling remarks, but they were not as funny as the goals Colchester was handed on a platter. At least they made us earn our goals.
  16. It’s been a long time since I last read the Left Lion magazine. I used to get it from the Navi, but I haven’t seen any recently. Colin Sisson has written a nice article. It’s a bit unfortunate with the timing as he couldn’t have predicted what would happen. This means Notts needs to step up their game.
  17. The tickets will likely sell out quickly, given Notts’ good performance and the fact that it’s a local derby against another top team. This match could be crucial by the end of the season.

  19. Hello! Welcome to PoN @Benji.
  20. For more detailed information about the changes, you can read further here. I found the podcast quite enjoyable to listen to; it’s highly informative, especially in relation to football, which is valuable given the scarcity of such resources. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/reforming-club-football-governance-consultation-response/a-sustainable-future-reforming-club-football-governance-consultation-response
  21. This article echoes the feelings of every Notts County fan. Our voices serve as the invisible twelfth man on the field. Our cheers and support inject something intangible, yet profoundly effective, into the players. It's a beautiful bond that only strengthens with every match and season. The fans are indeed the lifeblood of the club, and I'm proud to be one of them!
  22. Kevin Rapley, Elliott Whitehouse, Drissa Traoré and Jamie Turley all played for Forest Green.
  23. What an exciting direction for Notts! Focusing on local talent encourages and enables young players to rise through the ranks, creating a future pool of talented players not only for Notts but for all of football. Great to see Williams and the management thinking ahead and planning for the future of the club.
  24. The exceptional result of the match was a testament to Nottingham’s vibrant performance, which was palpable through the radio coverage. Our supporters’ enthusiasm was clearly audible, adding to the excitement. The significance of this victory and the clean sheet cannot be understated, boosting our team’s morale despite Gillingham reclaiming the top spot. Reflecting on the previous season, the thrilling rivalry with Wrexham added an extra layer of anticipation to each match. As we look forward to the new season, we hope to replicate this intense competition with Gillingham, promising another season of nail-biting matches and unforgettable football moments.
  25. What strikes me the most about Macaulay Langstaff is not just his goal scoring but his all-around attitude. His insistence on not worrying about the destination but loving the journey reflects great sportsmanship. His acknowledgement of the fans' emotional impact is a real testimony to his character. Truly an asset for Notts County.
