https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/remembrance/remembrance-events/d-day 80 years ago today the greatest invasion in history took place as the free world fought back against the Nazis in world war two, I've been watching a lot of the programmes that have been shown on tv in the lead up to today and am amazed at not only the amount of planning involved but the incredible courage of all those involved. So many thousands of lives lost too. I find it hard to believe this all took place less than two years before I was born. Lest we forget
