  1. At the time we signed Will Randall, I thought we had found a player who was on the up and had established himself playing for a team similar to our own situation. I could have chosen experience or the attraction of a player from a Premier League academy, but I voted for Randall because I believe he’s the one outside of the unknown who might fall under this due to having low expectations from others.
  2. Tiernan Brooks should see this signing as an opportunity rather than a setback. It's a chance for him to learn from an experienced goalkeeper and continue developing his skills.
  3. It's great to see Notts bringing in a goalkeeper who has both experience and potential. Stone's ability to distribute the ball well with both feet will definitely be an asset to our team.
  4. This is an amazing scoop for Notts! Dan Crowley could become one of our most important additions in recent years. I believe his style is well suited to League Two, and he'll quickly become a fan favourite! Even Birmingham Live seem surprised. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/dan-crowley-makes-surprise-transfer-27169134
  5. Sheffield Wednesday might end up regretting their decision to let Moore go, especially if their new manager doesn't live up to expectations. I hope the club knows what they're doing. As for Bournemouth's strategy of constantly changing managers seems to be working for them so far, but there's no guarantee that their luck will hold in the long term. They might eventually hit a rough patch due to a lack of stability.
  6. Scunthorpe United won’t want to be playing in the National League North for long. They’ll want to compete for promotion and I say good luck to Cal. It’s a risk for them considering his time in Scotland, but if his injuries stay hassle-free it could be an excellent piece of business.
  7. @rhodship66, welcome to PON. Don't be shy to jump in and have your say.
  8. Wes Morgan or David McGoldrick? I am just having a stab in the dark, but its my best shot right now.
  9. The type of player Jim is makes it difficult to count him out because he will just work harder to make a comeback. When his playing time seems limited, he’s happy to wait and go out onto the left. I prefer him in the middle, but I respect the energy and level he brings to whichever position he plays.
  10. My children sent me emails to celebrate Father’s Day, as one of my daughters resides in the United States and the other emigrated to New Zealand two years ago. I’m looking forward to receiving video calls from them at some point. Wishing all fathers a very happy Father’s Day.
  11. Boston has a strong infrastructure in place, which should bode well for Richards. I’ll be keeping a close eye on their progress, as well as that of our former players.
  12. While I may not be fully informed about the situation, I do believe that all discussions should be held in private. It’s possible that the individual in question is disappointed about not finishing in the top six, but Brentford’s 7th place finish is still a remarkable achievement. In my opinion, it would be wise to transfer him to another team, accepting any offer except from Tottenham. He’s a good goalkeeper, but ultimately replaceable.
  13. This is a fantastic video. Jodi Jones will undoubtedly be pleased with the result. It’s heartening to see that respect is being shown.
  14. He’s a good contributor to the site and it’s sometimes nice to have someone from the outside give a different opinion. He’s the type of person I would say hello to if I saw him in person. He seems like a decent person and a friendly Rams fan.
  15. The CEO that comes in will need to slowly implement their own ideas rather than thinking everything needs to change. I can see what @Chris is saying and to a degree, I think he’s right that the brothers need to be aware of what somebody new into an environment is like. I am sure they will appoint the right person.
  16. It doesn’t feel so much like a dream but surreal. I think that is the word I would use; never did I think the brothers would be the people who turned the club’s fortunes around so quickly. I thought it might take longer, but they must be great leaders and very focused within their plans.
  17. What is there to say about Kyle Cameron signing? I know some people have said the captain should be the first to sign but after last season he deserved time away and then come back to sort out business end out. Some just worried he would leave; I never doubted it.
  18. I don’t think anyone should complain that Jim has signed on for one more year; we should get behind him and be thankful for his contributions because he is a firm part of the team. He has helped in many ways to make Notts the team it is today; that should be remembered.
  19. I think Ruben leaving always seemed likely; when we signed David McGoldrick, I thought it was the sign that he was about to exit. I would have thought he would join a bigger club, but he should do fine for Oxford.
  20. Macaulay Langstaff looks very dashing in his evening wear; you could hardly tell he is a footballer. Soon he will be dining and spending time with high executives when clubs come knocking down Meadow Lane’s door.
  21. Thank you for all you have done for Notts, Ruben. It’s been a pleasure to watch you. I wish you well with Oxford United. Take your time to settle in and show League One what you can do!
  22. Retaining Jim is good; he’s been great since signing for Notts and I also wanted to see him wear our shirts back in League Two. Under different circumstances, a few years later, but still he deserves to see our relegation undone. He was one of the few who tried to save us.
  23. I believe everyone except Ruben Rodrigues will sign. Can you imagine what would happen if all four players re-signed? For those who desperately wanted him to stay, just remember that it may come with increased wages. So please don’t complain if he has an average game, provided he does stay!
  24. ???????????????????? He is a very good striker and a real fox in the box! I was saddened when he left, but I understood his decision as it was life-changing for him.
  25. Personally, I would be inclined to say no thank you. However, if someone at the club wants him and Luke Williams agrees, we have to accept it. I hope it’s just a rumour.
