Stuart Maynard catch up
He had a challenging time for a bit last season, and I hope we can press on and begin strongly. If this occurs, then hopefully those who criticise him based on his past or his previous role will shut up. I want to see Notts continue to progress, not decline because it suits some narrow-minded fans’ opinion of a person who genuinely needs time. We discussed how Ian Burchnall’s failure to end his season positively could be a learning experience. Stuart Maynard is doing just that, he won’t lead us to relegation. If the fans rally behind him, we might just achieve promotion again. The squad is much stronger, he’s had ample time to learn from last season, and I believe he will triumph.

Notts County Secure Defensive Reinforcement with Rod McDonald Signing
This is precisely the kind of signing we require, not solely due to his experience or the number of EFL matches he’s played, but also his stature and mindset. The club is doing a commendable job in introducing voices on the field, Rod McDonald will undoubtedly interact effectively with his colleagues. I believe it’s a splendid acquisition.

Hayley Turner : Notts supporting jockey
It’s good to see a female jockey, it certainly provides a change from the petite men we usually see during the Grand National.

Meadow Lane Revamped: Notts County Unveils Premier League-Standard Pitch
The Reedtz have truly begun to revamp Meadow Lane, their efforts are making Notts fans proud and steering us back to the Football League. They are certainly not lacking in ambition. It’s wonderful to witness their investment and the tireless work that the ground staff are putting in. The club still has the vibe that it can achieve great things, so it’s an exhilarating time at the moment.

Meadow Lane Revamped: Notts County Unveils Premier League-Standard Pitch
Without a doubt, our pitch is among the finest in the English Football League. We’re truly lucky to have owners who are putting their resources in the right places. They’re supported by an amazing team of ground staff. These dedicated individuals work non-stop to ensure we have the best playing surface possible. It’s truly wonderful to witness!

Does the England Team Have Tactical Issues?
Performance is the main issue, with tactics being the key to getting more out of the squad. I doubt Gareth Southgate is telling his players to be this defensive; that seems unlikely. He needs to put in players who will work hard and play in their strongest positions. We need a quicker tempo, moving the ball further between players and avoiding making seven short passes only to lose possession. Holding onto the ball longer would be a blessing, and I don't mean passing backwards.

Notts County Gaffer Stuart Maynard Delighted with Summer Signings and Leadership Shake-Up
For all the good things the Reedtz family continue to do, the least we can do is support the team and hope for a good start. I fully back Stuart Maynard; he's a nice guy, and I hope the stronger defence shows he can lead the club forward. Either way, I'm excited and looking forward to the season.

Julian Larsson joins Burton Albion
A couple of years ago, there were whispers about him coming to us on loan. This will be Julian Larsson’s first proper stint at a club, and I personally believe he’ll do well with Burton. They have a solid history of getting relatively unknown signings to perform impressively for them.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
England’s performance was underwhelming, and it seems their confidence dips when the game doesn’t go as expected. While the pitch conditions were subpar, it shouldn’t be an excuse; the Danish team managed just fine. They applied pressure well and disrupted our play. England must learn to adapt and counteract such tactics more swiftly.

Nick Tsaroulla's Emotional Farewell to Crawley Town and Exciting New Chapter at Notts County
The club has put in a great deal of effort to recruit the right players to address a few areas we fell short in last season. With a nearly revamped defence, our strength in both attack and defence is quite exceptional. Many League Two teams would likely be envious of having Nick Tsaroulla, and we’re fortunate to have him on our side now.

Incoming, new goalkeeper
I’m curious to see how Bass will perform with better teammates and our squad’s depth. It might be too soon to talk about promotion, but these signings should really support Stuart Maynard in his role.

Issue with some England fans
Some points are valid, but they’re not entirely accurate. The claim that Southgate became too defensive with substitutions after scoring doesn’t add up. Did we become more defensive after the goal or after 15 minutes? Goals naturally change the game’s flow. The argument loses strength and comes off as a rant against Gareth Southgate rather than constructive criticism. It’s important to recognise that Southgate has played a key role in making England a strong international team again.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
Great play for Bellingham's goal, he still had to work to score. This is the start we need. Serbia are playing too defensively. It's like watching Scotland all over again.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
It's time for what's important now. I hope everyone is watching! My dad and I have taken over the living room. Let's do this, ENGLAND!!

It's very sad news about Matija Sarkic. Rest in Peace.

Macca to Swansea?
Selling Macaulay Langstaff now could be a bad choice. If we do decide to sell him, it should be at the end of the season. Keeping him for one more year wouldn't hurt. I think we should only let him go if we have no chance of promotion. While any money from his sale could improve the team, it might also weaken us. He's more than just a goalscorer, and making him captain shows his importance. We have a good chance of getting promoted to League One, and we are stronger with him in the team.

Kevin Campbell RIP
Rest in Peace, Kevin Campbell.

The Goalkeeping Coach. Is He an Unappreciated Mastermind?
This is a question for Tom Weal, who has shouldered much of the blame for the goalkeeping errors and the signing of Aiden Stone, likely without having any say in the matter other than working with him. I value the hard work of all the coaches, but if we’re discussing those who often go unnoticed, I’d highlight the youth teams and academy. They nurture our future stars, a role that can seem thankless when the club is hesitant to field them.

EFL L2 awards
In my opinion, Dan Crowley was more consistent and crucial throughout the season. Jodi Jones is an excellent player, but wingers often have an easier time getting assists, and he fits our style of play well. I don’t mean to downplay the significant number of goals he’s created, but I’m trying to provide some perspective. It’s always encouraging to see any of our players recognised, especially Macaulay Langstaff.

Does the Notts Squad need more League 2 experience?
At present, two of our defenders have experience in League Two and they appear to be of a higher standard. I’m hopeful that Stuart Maynard, given the trust placed in him, can bring out the best in all the players. We need individuals who are resilient, focused, and committed. In past seasons, it’s been suggested that we need players with more Non-League experience, but we’ve been successful with quality. This notion seems to be reiterated simply because it’s a convenient label.

Weekend chat 14th - 16th June 2024
As of now, I don’t have any firm plans. It’s likely that my day will unfold spontaneously. If the weather allows, I’d like to take a walk around Nottingham on Saturday, a routine I’ve been enjoying. I might visit The Embankment and Meadow Lane, provided it doesn’t rain. However, these are just thoughts and not concrete plans. What about you? What are your plans?
