Faces of PON 24-25: Accrington Stanley (H)
I liked your quoted message @Chris, it was nice to see the photo of @magpiejue and her mum. The Faces of PON is a really good thing.

Notts Alumni: Paul Devlin
This is a great article about Paul Devlin, a former Notts player. I like reading about former players because it helps me understand their impact at Meadow Lane. He seems to be a popular player among fans, and I've seen him interacting with fans on social media. I've seen him play for Birmingham City on Sky Sports, and he looked skilled and difficult to play against.

A Statement From The Notts County Board of Directors.
I was thinking the same thing. It's better to address any potential negativity proactively. While the club shouldn't always do this, we've started the season quite well, so I believe addressing this issue is beneficial. The board's statement provides insight into their thoughts, and most fans will appreciate it.

Match Discussion: Game 5 - The Owd Reds (H)
I'm really excited for the game against Accrington. Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley have been playing fantastically, and our defence has been rock solid. They've been working hard to shut down opponents and keep the ball out of our net. I'm particularly impressed with how well our defenders have been communicating and positioning themselves. With Jodi and Dan in form, we have a real attacking threat. They've been creating chances and scoring goals at a consistent rate. I'm confident that they can continue to perform at a high level and help us secure a victory. I'm also looking forward to seeing the crowd get behind the lads. The atmosphere at Meadow Lane is always electric, and I know the fans will be cheering us on from start to finish. If we can play to our potential and get the crowd behind us, I believe we can achieve a positive result.

Stuart Maynard: ‘Smash and Grab’ Win Shows Notts County’s Promotion Credentials
I agree with Liam. Notts weren't outclassed. We had a lot of possession and defended very well. Both teams had chances, but Notts were able to score, and that's football. I'm happy for Stuart Maynard about his start to this season. I really want him to succeed and get more support. If we can continue and more fans come, we could create a similar atmosphere to the one that helped us get promoted from the National League. The club is progressing nicely. It's good to have this positive feeling around Notts.

Match Report: McGoldrick Magic as Notts County Triumph Over Swindon Town
The result was pleasing. Notts came back and showed determination in defending and attacking. We kept Swindon Town off, who really wanted a result. It's good to see Notts work hard to win. We don't always have to play beautiful football. This league is about getting results, and we did that yesterday.

David McGoldrick: ‘It Wasn’t My Greatest Performance, But Two Goals and a Win Are What Matters'
I don't think David McGoldrick needs to worry. He scored two important goals and helped Notts win. He's been good so far this season. I thought he started last season well, but he drifted off towards the middle when we struggled. We can win without being at our best. I agree, he didn't have a bad game at all.

Please look out for future topics as we take on teams away from home.

Welcome To Notts George Abbott
George Abbott seems like the kind of young player who will do well playing for the first team regularly. If we can give him a chance to get comfortable and grow in whatever role he plays for us, it will be interesting to see how it turns out and if he can help us become a promotion contender. I am quite happy with this signing, even though it is a loan.

Paris Paralympic Games: Brit Watch
I have not been watching, but I have seen the news and I am pleased for Team GB. I agree with the comments about how it is inspiring to see such a good turnout and results in terms of medals won.

Transfer Deadline Day
It has been a bit lacklustre from Notts' perspective, but I am happy overall. George Abbott sounds like a promising player, and if we can make that work, it will be exciting to see. I think it has been a fairly average transfer window in truth.

Where are they now : Paul Hart
Good luck in retirement, Paul Hart. You have been a big part of football and giving young players a chance.

Yeovil merchandise misspelling
They will take longer to proof things in the future. I do feel a bit sorry about the mistake because it does become a laughingstock.

Notts County Secure Dynamic Attacker Jevani Brown for Season-Long Loan
A good footballer will score goals in this Notts squad. It is about ability and if they can understand our play well enough to create chances. He seems very athletic and strong. I am not very interested in his previous record. I am only concerned about how he will perform at Notts. It is a loan, so if he does not commit or do well, we lose nothing. But we could gain if he does thrive in our environment.

George Abbott Excited for New Chapter at Notts County: "It's a Good Opportunity" Says Tottenham Hotspur's Young Midfielder
He seems switched on and ready to start playing for our first team. Notts is a great club to learn and get experience. He seemed very good, so I hope he enjoys his time here. His first game at Meadow Lane will show him what our fans are like.

Tottenham Hotspur’s U21 Captain George Abbott Joins Notts County on Loan
George Abbott is a good loan signing. We can help him play for the first team. If he does well, he can go back to Spurs or find another club to play for. He seems very talented and should do well.

Match Preview: Can Notts County Continue Their Strong Start Against Swindon Town?
If we play well and get chances, we can win against Swindon. They are having a hard time under their manager. I am sure they will improve, but hopefully not today. If Notts wins, it will start a good streak. We need to score important goals first.

Lewis Macari 'I'm Loving It Here at Notts County'
Lewis Macari has done very well since he came to Notts. Now he can play every week, which is good for him. He is one of our best tacklers and is also good going forward. I am glad he is enjoying his time at Meadow Lane. Notts will take good care of him and I hope his talent continues to grow.

More money than sense?
It might mean Millwall could be tempted to list him for transfer, so a loan move until January could be very possible. This is assuming they get the striker, or they might try to play both. I don't know how strong the attacking department is at Millwall, but it doesn't seem good to spend money on a striker who could already be replaced in the same season he was purchased.

MAGnets link - Swindon Town
That's now nine correct former players between Notts County and Swindon Town. A perfect start so far! I will keep the answers to one for now, as I want to see if any other members might be able to join in. Updated List of Players: Colin Calderwood ✔️ Stephen Darby ✔️ Mark Yates ✔️ Kaiyne Woolery ✔️ Brian Kilcline ✔️ Drissa Traoré ✔️ Wes Thomas ✔️ Alan Sheehan ✔️ Matt Palmer ✔️ If tomorrow things settle down, I will update the topic and mention everyone so that they know they can join in again, but this would be just to add a single player again. Allowing others more of a chance to participate. Thank you for the guesses so far.

MAGnets link - Swindon Town
:For now, I would appreciate it if members would continue to name just one player. The reason I'm mentioning this is that we have had five members join in. My comment in the original post might not have been noticed. Here are the players so far: Colin Calderwood ✔️ Stephen Darby ✔️ Mark Yates ✔️ Kaiyne Woolery ✔️ Brian Kilcline ✔️ Drissa Traoré ✔️ Let's keep the one-player limit for now, everyone. ???? Thank you, @CliftonMagpie, @TheSkipper, @Chris, @Robbie and @allardyces tash. ???????? I will let each of you know when you are back in play.

MAGnets link - Swindon Town
This season, the MAGnets topic is returning, but this time, the focus will only be on away games and cup matches where the possibility of playing the same team again this season is unlikely. This Saturday, Notts will travel to the County Ground to play Swindon Town. I will start with Colin Calderwood. A defender who began his career with Mansfield, then moved to Swindon Town in 1985. He became a regular Premier League centre-back before moving to our neighbours across the river [Forest]. He came on loan to Notts in the same season, 2001, making five appearances. Let's stick to naming one at a time for now, please. So, we can see how many members can contribute to this. Here is the match discussion too. Please feel free to join in and don't forget to share your thoughts on the match.

August Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
For me, it's not a difficult choice at all. I think next month it will be harder if we continue to do well, especially to see some defenders named. However, I think my choice is very straightforward.
