  1. A chilly start to Saturday morning.
  2. I am looking forward to looking at the tactical changes and possible change of shape for the Barrow Match later today. I'm sure there will be lots to talk about afterwards.
  3. @KB1862 The Man C investigation has been stalling for months and months now. In a few months the authorities are changing the FFP rules, so Man C will probably benefit in a big way from that change. Why is it that Football fans think things are stacked up so in favour of the top six when clubs like Everton have a verdict decided so quickly, but with Man City, it's delay after delay At least a specimen charge or charges could have been layed against Man C to get a decision quickly, so justice is seen to be being done.
  4. Spurs are a big club, but Man C are even bigger and again, Man C seemed to get the benefit of the doubt when it appeared that the Spurs goalie had been impeded by a Man City player following a Man C corner, near the end of the FA Cup match last night. The goal was given despite clear evidence that there was pushing and shoving immediately before the Man C goal. But VAR didn't see enough to warrant the goal being disallowed. If it has been the other way round would a Spurs goal has been disallowed? I'm sure it would have been.
  5. India v England day three. England are on 299/6 with Pope 142 not out.
  6. A chilly start to Saturday morning.
  7. Full time at the Bay and a convincing win for Nottingham. Nottingham 57 British Army 10.
  8. They play at "The Bay" sports ground just over the river from Meadow Lane next to Radcliffe Road
  9. A convincing first half performance from Nottingham sees them well in the lead at half time.
  10. @Fan of Big Tone What out for the Saharan dust.
  11. The investigations into Man City and Chelsea need to be moved on quickly and a verdict decided. Until that is done many fans won't have confidence that the playing field is fair.
  12. I agree VAR does have the potential to improve the game but where was it when Real Madrid played Almeria? Almeria was robbed plain and simple. Trouble with VAR everyone who views the footage sees something different. VAR in it's present form will never be foolproof.
  13. The pitch is ready for this evening's match.
  14. I'll start you off with one.
  15. This is the thread for some light relief & for having a laugh. If you have a joke to share, post it on this thread. If you have a clip of any of the stand up comedians, post it here.????
  16. Weather Summary for Saturday and Sunday. A bright day for England and Wales on Saturday, above average temperatures. Sunday will be rather cloudy with sunny spells.
  17. India are well in command of the 2st test after the conclusion of the 2nd day. India end the day on 421/7 in their first innings in reply to England's 246 all out. England will have to bat much better if they are to have any chance of saving this test.
  18. @Ohh Tommy Johnson @liampie @Chris I think it is significant that we never seem to get regular controversy with the Cricket and Rugby VAR decisions. In cricket it tends to initiate debate when a catch is taken with the hands touching the ground, but otherwise viewers agree with decisions made. In Football it comes down to multiple decisions made that initiate debate. VAR was supposed to solve or the problems about Refs making the wrong decisions, but it's implementation has only increased the lack of trust in the decision making.
  19. Nottingham RFC play the British Army tonight, kick of 7:45 pm, in a friendly at the bay. Here is their line up for the game.
