training day, so late break for me. i should be finishing about 5ish. its been a bit of gloomy day, with it raining in spells and work has not been all that busy. i am thinking about treating myself to some fish and chips later, i do usually cook at home but sometimes i like to treat myself. there is not a lot happening in my life at the moment.

usually its the agent(s) who make things difficult because they obviously make more money by the players joining a new club. sometimes they can get good money from renewals but the more a player earns, the more an agent can request for their services. its the players decision, but some agents can be very negative. i dont know who represents jodi jones or dan crowley, i trust them to make a sensible decision once they feel comfortable knowing where notts are heading. i agree with @Piethagoram, the club is probably keeping an open dialogue with them regarding contract extensions. as for the statement, i appreciate it but i am not worried. i like the transparency that comes with the club informing us, even if it is written as a pr statement in case people complain.

i know adam hassell described it as a smash and grab, but i thought we had the chances to win. it was not like we didnt. mcgoldrick showed his class but the difference between the two teams were the defending. notts did well in this area and really showed a robust approach to handling swindon town.

i think it shows we cant always play him and expect his magic, hes started this season well and is taking the chances given. it was good to see him start and score twice, i think this is what he brings when we rotate.

@thommo reading what @Piethagoram shared it does sound like he was racially abused and you are right, pulling someone's hair is assault. if it was the other way round, and she slapped and spat on his face i dont think most would be bothered. its not justified actions, poor judgement but people can make mistakes in the heat of the moment. the other person deserves to be held accountable too. professional footballers are held higher than some, it doesnt seem right. both peoples behaviour is horrible, but i believe he was profiled and attacked.

i felt pleased with the win, both teams played well and a draw might have been a fairer score but it showed how notts can turn these types of games into wins. its good to see how defensive we stood strong, as it gave us the platform to go forward. we might have lost this lost season, i hope we can build on it.

shame the goal was disallowed, hope they can get the win tho. coyp!

2 years after my first game, i have never collected programmes but i dud buy some at times, mostly special ones. tony hateley is always a good read. i miss uncle colin too.

im struggling to think of any more, there should be a few more. i will think about it. ????

swindon gave a good account of themselves, the opening goal was very well taken and i dont think there was anything alex bass could do. it stung to see us trial earlyish into the game but notts showed some good character and turned the game on its head. i was not sure about david mcgoldrick starting but again, he showed his worth and both of his goals were such a joy to see go in.

i think he should do well with the players around him, our style naturally benefits anyone with a strong sense of attacking. we might not see him score many goals but if he can assist other players in doing so, then it will help us as we continue to push for a top end finish.

notts has a good chance to start the gathering the points needed to be at the right end of the table, swindon will soon climb it themselves. i hope that notts leaves with the win, so far being undefeated is a good thing to build on. it would be nice to make it 2 wins in 2.

hes done remarkable well since joining us, i think he has also shown signs of improvement. before he signed permanently i was not that bothered about him, good loan player but did not quite make his presence known. yet since playing more, i am pleased by how hes grown and this season its hard to see him not being named in the squad.

i like that he sounds defensive focused, because he could be someone that can continue our approach to winning the ball back quickly. i have been impressed with this so fart, but i think if george abbott is comfortable getting stuck in, he could be a joy to watch going forward. he comes across very well.

@Fan of Big Tone i think some people are too involved in football, paul hart seems a lot like neil warnock and unable to actually retire for long. he has taken breaks before, so i am not sure it will last that long. i hope he does get time to spend with his family, hes earned a legacy in football and if he can put aside the feelings that the game stirs he would be comfortable in his retirement.

i dont expect many signings, i think with the keeper department we have good enough cover. alex bass should be fine to play most of the games, so i dont worry about that. a striker would be nice. @ARLukomski would you please consider adding transfers you think other clubs have done well to secure? i like your insights into this.

he does look like a very exciting loan signing, a player who could go on to have a top career. i think the club might be hyping him as to be expected but i think he will focus on allowing his football and ability to do the talking. i hope he enjoys his time at notts and meadow lane.

i do wonder how the new lad will fit in? i dont want to sound negative towards him but i think it would be wrong if he just made it straight into the first team. i want the players to keep working for the privilege so that we can get the very best out of them. hopefully, he does come on from off the bench but i dont think the team needs any changes unless we have injury concerns.

@Fan of Big Tonei love reading fans thoughts on former players, its the best education you can get when you have not seen them play. stories might be projected a little taller, due to the pride and nostalgia but that just makes it even better.

i agree. ???????? they just need to keep building and not before long, they will climb the leagues. i am pleased we have a womens team that is fully ours and is growing organically.

i dont mind a loan signing like this, i think it makes sense to being someone in who is a young captain and can play multiple positions. I wish him well, and i hope he does well.

its a positive to be drawing at half time, the gulf between us and them is big. nothing to be that down about, our players tried and thats all we can ask.

i barely watched the olympics but i have found the paraoympics to be far more compelling. even if its not team gb, i have felt happy to see people doing well.

i dont changes tend to ruin football, the champions and europa league feels stale and the same as each other. then theres the nations league which is boring. i have no ideas or suggestions about the league cup.
