Notts Alumni: Ben Davies
i loved watching ben davies play for notts, he was a real gem and his goals usually were just as special. i dont think we have had someone who could take free kicks like him since, whenever he had the opportunity to strike the ball i thought it would be goal bound. i dont blame him for wanting to move on and try his luck in the championship, though i was sad to see him leave.

Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Wombles (A)
disappointing, we get back into the game and we give another penalty away. it seems very unnecessary, not sure if we can go and get a third. i think they will take the points.

Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Wombles (A)
notts are trying to open up the game but afc wimbledon are going in with the fouls now, its clattering time to stop us from playing our passing game. its a bit of patient game so far. we need to try to open up the game.

Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Wombles (A)
i am about 30 minutes away from the ground, i have just pulled over with the lads [@CliftonMagpie and @TheSkipper] so that we can get something better to eat than what football grounds offer. jodi jones will be a miss, but it gives someone else a chance and i think his presence would be better for some of the upcoming games. so if he was on 4 yellow cards, and not suspended i think i would prefer him not to be risked. yes hes a great player but the suspension could have been avoided, thankfully i dont think it will impact us as much. i will share the team news unless someone else beats me to it. i cant wait to watch the game!

John Bostock on the Uniqueness of Notts County: A Blend of Leadership, Vision, and History
its great to know that players of the likes of john bostock who has a wealth of experience higher up, is finding that working with luke williams brings the best out of him. its a really positive thing, because now we have dan crowley and dan gosling, two more players who have sung the praises of williams already. we have ourselves someone who can get the best out of players but also inspire them.

Can Notts County Break Their Away Game Dry Spell with a Win Against AFC Wimbledon?
its a great chance to get those much needed 3 points but we must focus on the game, work hard and put in a solid performance. i will be there amongst the crowd hoping to see us finally get a win over wimbledon. it should be a great game, fingers crossed its not too cold!

Luke Williams on Notts County’s Game Plan Against AFC Wimbledon
yeah, hes all about respect and focus. its one of his qualities which makes him so likable. i could listen to luke williams talk about football all day, just to see how his mind works and the insights he gives. afc wimbledon wont be easy but i do agree, we should be picking up the maximum amount of points from them.

Dan Crowley on Notts County: ‘I Love Playing Here, It’s the Best Time I’ve Had Playing Football’
he really has stepped up and shined his role, we dont look like a team that is missing one of our star players from last season. Dan Crowley and David McGoldrick have slotted in and, offer both experience at a much higher level but also their general quality. We are lucky to have Crowley, he's a great player.

Weekday Cross Nottingham
these are great photos, without the explanation as to where it was even i would not be able to place where the first image was taken. it looks like nottingham had some sort of drapes to the side of the platform.

Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Wombles (A)
we do need to start picking up good wins on the road again, its funny how one season you are better away than at home and then you are outstanding at home (which we should be) but are indifferent away. i think notts may have struggled previously due to the oxford and injuries, but also a lack of composure. i am hoping to watch notts start brightly, now its getting colder we need a bit of motivation for our support at games. wimbledon wont be pushovers, i dont expect them to be or to make it easy. three points would be my target going into the match though.

Notts County’s Fan Forum Reveals: The Intricacies of Recruitment, Stadium Enhancements, and Fan Connection
the clubs decision to hold the fans forum now is a brilliant timing, it can help us to get refocused on the more important things rather than headlines that the media put about the crewe defeat. i like the sounds of the improvements, its something that does make a difference. it adds to the very exciting feel that is still very much around the club, that positive feeling we have come used to under the reedtz leadership.

Dan Crowley on Notts County’s Performance: Brilliance, Blitz, and Room for Improvement
the first half was very impressive to see us go four goals up, but i think going into the second half bradford were always going to try to lift their game. i thought dan crowley was outstanding, he played with such forward thinking that he play a big role in what we did achieve in the first half. his play at times was very entertaining to see, he works very hard for us.

Luke Williams on Notts County’s Performance: A Tale of Two Halves
first half notts were class, but i personally dont think that there is much negative about the second half. yes we had chances which we did not put away and bradford came back into the game but their goals were scored at times when we were still pushing for a fifth goal. bradford was very poor but looked a promising side if they could get their heads together in time.

Living the Dream: Jodi Jones’ Double Wembley Experience
i think they made a mistake by not starting jodi jones because they had some chances which a player of his quality could have put away in the first half, malta were never going to win but it was great to see jodi play against england again. it was nice to hear the name drops of notts county too, sometimes i still find it hard considering all the awful years i have supported notts that we have a player of his quality. this current squad we are blessed to have but i am thankful even more that jodi jones signed the deal keeping him here at the start of the season.

Facing the Unknown: Luke Williams on Preparing for a Transformed Bradford City
i like that luke williams is acknowledging bradford city might be completely different to how they have been in previous games. hes right we do have to focus on ourselves and if we are strong defensively, then it should make it all the more exciting but we need to attack and ask questions. if we do play to the level we can, meadow lane should be rocking tomorrow despite the cold.

Defying Speculation: Luke Williams’ Commitment to Notts County
yeah, luke williams is focused on us and there are so many sharks out there spreading false stories, i dont blame williams for staying focused i am just glad its been squashed. i understand why some fans would be worried, we are in the best health and position we have been for a number of years, with good owners and coaching staff that helps our manager do what he needs to be done. oxford are not able to offer this, even with ruben rodrigues there. we have a mission to complete, williams seems focused on that 100%.

Match Discussion: Game 18 - The Bantams (H)
i think despite their form and inconsistency it will be a another tough game. the last time i recall playing bradford in a season where we looked promising was the start of the 09/10 season where lee hughes scored his hattrick and we hammered them. mark stallard will also probably have split feelings having played for them but i just hope that we can show our true character on saturday and push for the 3 points. after the crewe game, a win would show we are not about to let our position slip too far.

Notts County: A Tale of Two Novembers
amazing feats in the history of our club, tommy Lawton gave notts a period were we bloomed and meadow lane must have been thrilling to watch him entertain fans on the pitch with his brilliance. i remember roy carroll playing against coventry for us after previously playing the night before for northern ireland. his level of commitment was impressive!

Match Discussion: Game 17 - The Railwaymen (A)
its going to end a draw unless notts works out how to get behind crewe, aaron nemane had a touch of class and almost got on the score sheet. crewe are looking the better of the two, we need to pass the ball better at times.

Luke Williams Anticipates Tough Encounter Against In-Form Crewe Alexandra
yes, i think the game is going to be difficult but the inclusion of Dan Gosling will be a big thing for us. i am interested to see how he does stepping in and despite wishing jodi jones could play, we have plenty of other options. its a good chance for adam chicksen to come in.
-
Match Discussion: Game 17 - The Railwaymen (A)
this will be my first time at their ground, i am hoping the weather is not too bad and that the parking is not a nightmare. i think we should be up for the game, stockport managed to beat them but they do make things hard. they can also dismantle teams and play off par. it all depends which of their team turns up. likewise, we need to be at our best. i dont think the game is going to feel comfortable to watch, i just have this feeling like they will be the first to score and we have to dig deep in order to make something of it. if we dont give macaulay langstaff the ball, not just in scoring positions but before that, then we are not giving him the chance to get involved which i think does lift confidence.

Dan Gosling's Arrival Infuses Notts County with Experience and Excitement
to be fair, dan gosling is a temporary replacement for the loss of matt palmer. it does not mean hes a like for like replacement but that is what he is. i am glad we have signed him, he should be a big boost in quality and hopefully we can fit him in nicely without much time needed. i dont think players levels really matter, provided that they are good and continue to work hard. so the players like macaulay langstaff, kyle cameron who have not had efl experience can show they are good enough.

Where are they now : Adam Coombes
he arrived after being released by chelsea due to a pretty big injury if i remember right. i dont think these gambles often pay off, will hayhurst and others are prime examples. its a shame but he probably did not have the right attitude to be a league player. at least hes salvaged a career in the lower leagues.
