Which Jan signings are paying off in your opinion? Darren Bent seems to have found his mojo having scored 5 from 6, Aaron Lennon seems to be fitting in at Everton and Robert Huth seems to be making a difference at Leicester City.

Right then, bottom of the league, having been purchased by Becchetti, they now have the fact that they are to be the subject of a reality TV show in Italy, that will give young Italians the chance to win a pro contract... Really? The whole thing is to be shown on the TV channel that Becchetti owns. Now, this has got to be another case of eeejit being allowed near a football club... or can you see it benefitting Orient? For me it's a definite facepalm moment... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/leyton-orient-to-become-subject-of-italian-reality-tv-show-that-will-give-the-winner-a-professional-contract-at-the-club-10043597.html Add …

That this is the start of the end, that the premier league is going supernova. Sky customers who have a package including sports are to see prices increase... not as much as they should IMO, but by 4 pounds per month initially. So here is the thing.... Can we expect that the customers will just continue to fork out month after month for Premier League football? Will the fact that ticket prices constantly rising will mean less in the grounds? I think that if and when any of this starts to happen, then the sponsors will also start to question the money they put in... Today there are two articles on the new deal, in the first one Arsene Wenger questions the …

In this day and age should professional clubs really have pitches like this. This is disgraceful and shocking. This is a championship club who were not to long ago in the prem. Ive seen Sunday league pitches better than this.

Surely following yesterdays game against Crystal Palace, Nigel Pearson can expect an FA charge of misconduct or bringing the game into disrepute... or both http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/11397943/Leicester-City-0-Crystal-Palace-1-Joe-Ledley-strikes-to-pile-misery-on-Nigel-Pearson.html thoughts?

The article from local Swindon paper, says the club have been served a petition, but nothing to worry about, as it is sorted... http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/11778197.Swindon_Town_say_winding_up_case_is_sorted_as_date_set_for_High_Court_hearing/?ref=rss Still not the best news for @medievalmickey .... I know it is only the taxman trying to get monies owed, but there must be problems if a bill goes unpaid for this length of time, I know companies delay and delay payments as long as possible, but not this long

West Ham are potentially to be kicked out of the FA cup, should some corrupt guy at FIFA who have it in for the FA (IMO) find that they breached International selection versus club rules... see article... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31103752 However for once, I think something sounds dodgy here, with the player allegedly unable to fly due to a back injury, but able to be chauffeured to the game and of course play, with the same mysterious back injury.... your thoughts?

Goal line technology helped ensure the correct result stood at Selhurst Park, this is for me the first time I have heard of it being proved... IMO it is right that we use it and it should be pushed throughout the leagues, although the refs we get would probably make a mess of it anyhow.... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/gds-technology-saves-everton-and-us-from-argument-10016973.html

It looks like our Leon might be linking up with another League One team. He's been rumoured to be in talks with Barnsley over season long long, which would see him face us if he does agree terms. It would be interesting because it would see him also return to Meadow Lane! It's funny because he's the player who hasn't ever settled with a team, when he looks to be in form something crops up but I did think he looked quite the player before his injury at Newcastle. Even when they were in the Championship, I recall him looking sharp against Forest and he partnered well with Andy Carroll. Shame really because I'd have gambled on him to come here if I was Shaun Derry. Here'…

Ok, so Chelsea are through to the final at Wembley, and Jose Mourinho's push for silverware and honours continues. However the semi final wasn't without controversy with the press and Liverpool alleging TWO stamps by Diego Costa. We know the best players have that streak, the ruthless and at times nastiness about them, but IMO this is just wrong, that his own manager can defend him... one perhaps an accident, but two? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2929236/Jose-Mourinho-defends-Diego-Costa-striker-criticised-stamping-two-players-Capital-One-Cup-win.html I didn't watch the game, but would love to hear the opinions of any that did, or indeed anyb…

Jermaine Defoe has been signed by Sunderland AFC in what has been a straight swap deal seeing Jozy Altidore move over to Toronto FC. Defoe whilst having scored 11 goals in 16 games for the MLS side, hasn't settled too well and found himself not to be a crowd favourite. Altidore on the other hand has appeared 42 times for Sunderland scoring just once. Whilst this seems a win win for both Defoe and Gus Poyet at Sunderland, does it fit? Can Sunderland change the style of football they play sufficiently to get the best out of Defoe? I believe so, Poyet has worked with Defoe in the past and knows how to get the best out of him, and also proved himself to be a more than c…
