Opportunity Knocks for Bart Ex Magpie keeper is in with a chance of starting more regularly for Ipswich Town after their no.1 Gerks hurt his groin. “Bart’s great, I’ve felt for him,â€ McCarthy admitted. “You see him in training, he breaks their hearts with some of the saves he makes". The better he does, the better it is for us as Notts might receive cash if the Blues are promoted and a percentage of a future sale. On a personal note I hope he does become their No1. Yet we have Big Roy now! You Pies How do you see the move? Was it a good move for him? Do you see them going up? Do you see us getting any sort of return for this deal? Are you even bothered? Let…

Good old Kasper had the cross bar height checked ahead of Leicesters defeat by the hands of Swansea. Very amusing story, surely he can tell the difference being stuck between the posts. I would have thought clubs would check to make sure everything was okay when they visit, so this is just very odd. Thoughts?

Chelsea needed a late own goal. The Blues struggled on a wet Greenhous Meadow Stadium pitch, but took the lead after the break when Didier Drogba swept in a half-volley. Shrewsbury scored a deserved equaliser 13 minutes from time when substitute Andy Mangan stabbed in. That joy was short-lived as Jermaine Grandison turned in Willian's cross. It seemed extra time might be on the cards when Mangan, recently back from injury, poked in to send the home fans into raptures. But just four minutes later, Micky Mellon's side were dealt a cruel blow as Grandison, who provided the assist for the goal, nodded into his own net under pressure from Drogba. Chelsea, whose lin…

It's a fantastic offer, however Jack's got to make the decision. Playing for England could see him progress further as an international, with a squad behind him. He could be the shinning light for Ireland and take them places which they have rarely been, he could help bring through more talent and encourage more youngsters to play for Ireland. This offer for free flights, isn't going to make it any easier! In other News! Michael O'Leary's just been informed how many of the Grealish clan will be making their first flight to support the young Jack! Hehe...

Non league day this Saturday. A day on which people are persuaded to go and watch their local teams. In the best of all possible worlds, Non-League Day would work something like this: Lardy arse fat b****rd Darren normally spends his weekend fermenting on the sofa in his his replica shirt. His only friend is a Sky Remote Control he affectionately calls Stelling. Darren really is quite lonely. Darren pays vast amounts of money every month to a chap called Rupert who lets him watch Premiership football for many, many hours every weekend. Darren has bought himself a supply of medical catheters and a leg bag. For those of you of a non-medical bent, this means Darren doesn'…

Hi there Magpie fans Any chance I can get some extra signatures for my club to acquire a new stadium? Only takes a few minutes, we would really appreciate your help. We have been trying for the last 20 years, but setbacks due to location, nimby's, and funding have set us back. This is an official petition made by Grimsby Town Football Club over the last few months, which will be handed into our local council for planning permission. Circa 500 permanent jobs, and 500 temporary construction jobs. For the long term survivability of the club, not only will it help the club, it will help with community projects in Education and Health. Click Link >>…

One of my Friends Posted this on FB, Makes me Bloody Sick to the Stomach. Our matchday tickets (Ottawa Fury) are fairly affordable compared to Hockey and CFL (Canadian Footbal League ((Better then the NFL)) in the city and other sports around the country... ($23) well here's a story from England lol http://www.thesportbible.com/articles/you-re-charging-how-much In a world where you can watch every Bayern Munich home game of the season for £105, West Ham want fans to pay up to £77 for a ticket to their Premier League opener against Spurs on Saturday. We repeat: £77 to watch a Sam Allardyce team play football. We say play football, we mean watch their def…

At last the new season is almost here, but where will Notts (and Rams,Rotherham,Shrewsbuty,Walsall,Swindon and any other members favourites) be come next May? I don't know where to start with Notts,a virtually completely new squad.SD has brought in a mixture of experience and youth that hopefully will blend and give Notts fans something to cheer about other than avoiding relegation. I don't see a relegation battle, more like mid table safety but Notts could surprise a few teams Rams-top 8,hopefully automatic promotion but play offs again more likely.I would be more confident with stronger central defence. @BradtheMiller-Please give us your view.I th…

  18. It does seem really strange that companies are having to take them to a winding up petition to be paid. This for a club that apparently have millions and are looking forward to get into the premier league etc etc. With our tumultuous past it keeps ringing too many alarm bells, why some of their fans, most notably the Nottingham Post keep bleating on about how their future is looking upwards is beyond me, their fans deserve to know the truth and it seems that only the media these days can find out the real truth behind whats going on but again the Post chooses not to?? I don't wish them any harm, i truly don't, it would be really good for both clubs if we were in t…

Guys, I'm currently working on my master thesis. I want to measure the effects of ownership models on the loyalty of football fans. As a fan I'm very concerned about the new developments in football and there hasn't been a lot of research on this topic. Remember that this is a theoretical approach; it doesn't quite catch the full picture. The goal of the thesis is to detect some strong effects that could be further analyzed in new research. It will take 5-10 minutes of your time. I got the feeling this is a topic that concerns a lot of fans. So I would love to collect a few opinions on the matter as well. https://jfe.qualtrics.com/form/SV_6CZc9HhL1wyqr77 T…

As expected, Man City have broken the FFP rules. The sanctions look harsher than I expected tbh. I expected a small slap on the wrist. It's not a major issue for them, but it is a fly in the ointment for them. Manchester City face a £50m fine and having to limit their Champions League squad to just 21 players next season, instead of the normal 25, after breaching Uefa Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, Sky News understands. Under sanctions which the club are contesting, City will also have to cap their spending on Champions League players so spending does not exceed this year's total. The reduction in the size of the Champions League squad to 21 could hit City har…

Hi, First let me thank you for letting me join your site. Two things have come to light over the past few weeks that we as football fans should be very worried about. First, is the proposal by Dyke to bring in another league so "B" teams can be used. Second, is something that is happening at Mildenhall Stockcar, Speedway and greyhound stadium. The proposal to form another league could spell the end for some lower division and non league teams. Under the guise of bringing youth through to international level. This as all the hall marks of Premiership bullying, and will only benefit those at the top. Could you please sign the petition below http://www.c…
