Match Discussion: Game 36 - The Bantams (A)
A last word on the pitch. When Jatta is celebrating his first goal, bits of the surface were flying around his ankles. You couldn't call it turf. It was more like clay. I doubt there's much drainage there. When I was in France visiting the WW1 battlefields, I picked up some soil. It was clay. Exactly like Bradford's surface. Maybe I'm too obsessed with soil but I put that down to being Irish, land and soil are engrained in our DNA.

Fantastic result on an awful surface. Jatta is flying. He can score with his head or his feet. We have exceeded the 50 point mark. We were never going to go down, but 50 is a psychological point total more than anything. The playoffs are a possibility at this stage which is crazy given the bad run we were on.

Bradford were awful against Mansfield and Mansfield weren't even in top gear. Either Bradford will come out fighting or they are completely demoralized. I think Notts will win 5-4.

Match Discussion: Game 39 - The 'Owd Reds (A)
A point away from home is welcome but it just papers over the cracks really. Accrington had over 20 shots and if they had a decent finisher, they would have battered us. Sam was excellent again. Jatta showing how good he is. That was the highlight.

Accrington lost 4 in a row before they won 2-1 at Swindon on Tuesday. John Coleman's departure is still being felt I reckon. It will be a while before they are back on an even keel. Notts cannot defend. This we know. Sam saved us from a battering on Tuesday. As mentioned above, we may as well go for it and try and score 2 or 3. We'll need at least 2 goals to get anything out of the game I think.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
It's not an easy decision by any means. Ideally we get to 50 points and then the pressure eases a little. The brothers were at the game last night. I hate to say it, but removing SM seems like the logical choice right now.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
The game turned not on the sending off but the subs made by SM. Crawley subs made a huge difference. Ours are nowhere near the quality required at this level.

Robertson sent off. 2nd yellow. Harsh to say the least. Crawley player struck Sam. Booked. Could easily have been red. Sam has kept us in the game.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
Notts have started the 2nd half brilliantly. Crawley are struggling. The offside goal was offside based on the reaction of the players. No Notts player complained.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
Notts surrendered the initiative after the goal. Crawley hit the bar. Sam has made a couple of decent saves. Crawley are struggling to deal with the pace of Nott's attacks.

Sam made a brilliant double save to keep it at 0-0. Notts have grown into the game. Goal was a throw in that fell to Crowley, he zipped it across the 6 yard box and Sam tapped in. We are winning away from home. This is not a drill ????

I found my way to the stadium without the aid of Google Maps. I'm very proud of myself ???? Pitch is fine. The ball will zip off the surface. You can see it in the warm-ups.

It's dry here now. Skies are grey though. Feels like it could lash rain at any time. The pitch looks good on the photo they posted on Twitter.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
I'm travelling over from Cork for this game. I'm looking forward to it. I've never been to Crawley. Crawley aren't scoring many goals but they are still winning thanks to a mean defence. They are 16th on the home table and we are 16th on the away table. Obviously they are in better form as we are currently 24th on the form table. I agree that we need to revert to the Newport formation and if it isn't working, throw Jatta on around the 60 minute mark and bomb Crawley with crosses. If SM needs advice, I'll be in the away section ????

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Wombles (H)
There was a saying about Irish Rugby in the 80s. When Plan A didn't work, they tried Plan A. Yesterday was a good example of that. Jatta is a Plan B. He gives Wimbledon something different to deal with. Instead we persist with what wasn't giving them too many headaches. We have the best striker in League 2. Surely the aim should be to feed him as often as possible? Maybe SM has a plan, but I don't see it. Maybe things will turn around, I hope they do or my blood pressure will keep on rising!

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Wombles (H)
Wimbledon had won 1 in 12 away from home. They strolled to victory at ML today. We are the worst side in the division at the moment and there are no signs of it getting any better. I have no idea what's going on, I can't see what SM is trying to achieve.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Wombles (H)
I think this is a good time to play Wimbledon. They aren't scoring many goals. They failed to beat a poor Grimsby team in their last game at home. Their away isn't the best. They did beat us at their place but they aren't at that level in their recent games. I'm quietly confident that we'll be celebrating a much needed win.

I feel sorry for the fans who travelled to Bradford. It's probably a blessing in disguise. It gives SM time to sort out the mess we are in.

Match Discussion: Game 36 - The Bantams (A)
According to the form table for the last 7 games, Notts are 23rd. Only Grimsby are worse off. Bradford haven't conceded a goal in their last 4 league games. They beat Wrexham away. Crushed the fake Dons 4-0 at home and beat Sutton at home. They are in a far better position than us. As bad as Tuesday was, I expect it to get even worse on Saturday. I can only foresee a heavy defeat. I hope I'm wrong.....

Match Discussion: Game 27 - The U's (H)
It's not all Stuart Maynard's fault but I have yet see anything to convince me that he is the man to manage Notts County. It gives me no pleasure to say that. Thankfully we are 20 points clear of the drop because I don't see how we will pick up a single point between now and the end of the season.

Match Discussion: Game 27 - The U's (H)
Sutton are last for a reason. They are a poor side. If we don't beat Sutton at home, it's going to be depressing and time to stay off social media for the rest of the week!

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Railwaymen (H)
Another defeat. They are starting to mount up now. On form, we are one of the poorest sides in the division. Thankfully we have enough points in the bag and we won't be relegated.

2 nil down and you can't really argue with that. It's not over yet but it's a long way back from here.

We were robbed at their place. It was a surreal game. Referee off injured. Dodgy penalty to give them the 3 points. Very angry Notts fans. Not our finest moment. Crewe are consistent and will be difficult to beat. They'll play the same way they did at their place. It will be a tight game. We need a win!
