  1. Yes, @Chris,RamsTV is a great way to watch Derby games but there are broadcasting restrictions e.g. .the Saturday 3pm blackout or ,when Sky are broadcasting Derby and certain cup games .I always check as some restrictions don't apply. I believe one of Mel Morris's(Former owner) ideas was to get all Derby games made available via RamsTV rather than through Sky, BBC,BT etc so the revenue generated went to Derby and their opponents on that day.
  2. The best man at @GrannyPie's and my wedding is a Red and a few of my friends are too. Over the years I've worked with loads of really nice florist fans. For those fans I wish Nottingham's other team well(up to a point) I have also come across some really horrible ,obnoxious, idiotic brain dead, wassocks who happen to support various teams ,not just THEM,and including my own, I'm sad to say.The fans that annoy me are the ones who are anonymous when their team isn't doing too well and your own team is but come out from under their stone when the teams fortunes are reversed. I have found some reds very condescending towards Notts and others very supportive. The same goes with Derby fans. When Derby were in administration a lot of reds were on the derby sites gloating and posting childish comments(Probably because they were ,in fact ,children}.At the same time there were lots sympathising and offering support, usually with a bit of acceptable banter thrown in.I was hoping florist would be relegated just to shut the mouthy morons up a bit but I'm not that bothered. I think the best way to look at it is, if there was no florist there would be other teams to take their place (Stags,Chesterfield,Leeds,Chelsea,Wrexham) and if there is were no opponents there would be no games and no point.
  3. @liampie ,It's always nice to hear from you or anyone else who may wish to contact me.I may sometimes take a while to reply ,though, as I don't always notice messages immediately(or sometimes for days)
  4. I've been continuing with trying to sort things in the house(with help from family) that couldn't be done while @GrannyPie's bed, rotunda and hoist etc were in place..We had some floorboards replaced a few years ago but this couldn't be completed because of the bed,There's only so much moving around could be done. Also I cut our long hedge on Wednesday and I'm now weeding and generally tidying up the long neglected garden, weather permitting and when I feel like it. Today I had a visit from @Chris with @super_pie and @william1984 with Luna(The Whirlwind) which was very nice. Also being retired ,just like @Fan of Big Tone everything in my own time.
  5. The book you refer to is called "Son Of My Father",Me,My Dad and Derby County FC by Craig Trembirth. This covers seasons1979-2004 and is a brilliant read from when the son attends his first Derby Count match with his dad..It takes in much more than football and any fan could relate to the ups and downs and social changes experienced. @Chris you lent me this book several years ago and I got about halfway through it but it was hidden away one of the times Mum was in hospital.I rediscovered it while I've been tidying up.I really must finish it and return it to you so you can return it to JJ
  6. A big PoN welcome from me too @CountyFan2105 Please make yourself at home and join in all the fun.
  7. I made the short walk to our local convenience store this morning for a few bits to last till Tesco deliver on Monday .Very pleasant it was too. It only takes about 15minutes there and back unless I run into anyone I know and stop to chat. I keep having half an hour here and there tidying the garden while we've got this lovely weather. Everything I do now is at my own pace ,so now I'm watching telly and catching up on my laptop.
  8. Welcome back @KingWilliams and @NottsTastic It takes some doing to admit that you may have overreacted. I totally understand how you were both upset though. When written down a throwaway comment can easily be taken in a way not intended. Also things sometimes get written in the heat of the moment with no intention of hurting anyone. No recriminations ,just ignore the occasional poorly written comment, Things can easily get out of hand but life's too short to let things bother you too much.I am now looking forward to seeing you both posting regularly. Once again, welcome back.
  9. Yes @Fan of Big Tone,Charlie is getting carried away with his impassioned view and you can see Mark Shardlow getting a bit agitated
  10. @Fan of Big Tone you didn't mention the other panellist !!!!!! I liked his expression as he watched the r*d give his opinion on the reception.Charlie was great.
  11. I watched on telly at home on my own but with @GrannyPie's photo near me.I must admit I felt a bit emotional and phoned @Chris at Wembley because I had to share the moment with someone.I hope I can enjoy a promotion for my first team soon but I'd prefer a bit less drama.
  12. I didn't curse your promo chances. Congratulation @nightOWL on beating posh and good luck v Bolton or Barnsley.Your doing it the Notts way.
  13. All the emotions are plain to see as the drama unfolds. It's something all fans go through every matchday, except this match had a little bit more significance. It wasn't just about Notts returning to The Football League was it ?
  14. As I've already said somewhere else today, I knew there was something I needed to say to you .Happy birthday!!!! Enjoy the rest of your day.
  15. Brilliant.Thank you.
  16. It's been a long time coming, but at last I feel confident that both my clubs are simultaneously in good hands. Yes ,no egos, but sensible, sustainable, forward planning. Oh happy days.
  17. Don't forget Tanglefoot and Wobbly Bob to name just two. Drinking to excess is the problem though, @Fan of Big Tone I don't see the point in drinking so much that it makes you ill, and I think we learn a lesson before it goes too far.
  18. Correct @KB1862 What was intended as a team bonding game of 'footgolf' was changed ,due to bad weather, to bowling followed by a meal and drinks. Most of the squad left fairly early but Mason Bennett, Tom Lawrence and Richard Keogh continued drinking To cut to the chase they all got drunk and it ended with their car crashing ,fines etc and Keogh injured and unable to play for a year resulting in sacking. There are a few more details but that is basically what happened. Embarrassment all round and part of the awful last few years at Derby which we are only now coming out of.
  19. I wish @GrannyPie could have seen this too @Chris She ,and me too, loved it when we were given similar notes. It's brought tears to my eyes ,it's just lovely.Give your kids a hug from me and @GrannyPie please @KB1862
  20. There is bound to be the occasional true report and like with Russian roulette we don't know where the bullet is.
  21. It's great to see the team really celebrating. They've earned the right to let their hair down a bit especially after the way the last two games panned out. Just a few words of caution, remember what happened when my team had a team bonding day not too many seasons ago.I hope someone responsible is keeping an eye on things
  22. I agree with you @nightOWL.I am delighted we ended where we did considering where we were this time last year. I was only disappointed by the way it happened, I felt for Curtis Davies ending, as it turned out, his Derby career by getting a silly sending off. I hope I didn't curse your promotion chances by hoping you would beat Posh. It's a tough call but I sincerely hope you turn the return fixture on its head. I believe higher teams should be promoted.
