i wonder how many complaints that had from people calling in and emailing the bbc/ ofcom. 😂

The Jatta Paradox
i know the board have dismissed that we are a moneyball club, but that is what it sounded like when they first arrived and there is nothing wrong with it. complaining we are selling players, and denying the club is in better shape or is making any form of progress. it just makes me wonder what those types of fans thought when we were losing players as free agents. players can see its a difficult league and the only way we can get better is through investment. selling jatta eventually would be a smart move, but a replacement is needed and we need to get him to sign a new deal even if its just two years. i do worry about him walking away on a free, but i hope his connection to the fans and the opportunity we have given him comes through. his agent might want to make a quick buck, but jatta needs to be the decision maker.

Junior Morias.
a lot of ex notts players do tend to end up at yeovil when they are not doing so well, i wish junior morias well, i thought he was unlucky and threated quite badly in terms of him not being given a proper chance. i know some have suggested he might not have trained well, but the club released two videos during his time, where he was chasing everything with a scary amount of pace and we failed to fit him in.

Eleven Players Recruited. A Statement of Intent from the Owners
i still think we should have kept charlie whitaker, he ran himself into the ground and when he performed well, he was class. a few years he could have been a massive player for us. i dont think we have replaced alex bass and david mcgoldrick on paper. kelle roos looks good enough for this level, but i dont feel confident that he will be ready for league one when we are. didzy could have retired at any moment, his legs could go but him chasing a new dream at barnsley for me says that hes wanting to peruse one last celebration. when you look at the quality of loan signings, it does seem like we are avoiding the ones clubs just want to gain first team experience and have no real interest in their development just hopes of them being good enough one day. those we have signed all look to have bright futures and they fit in very well, giving us a younger edge with some good experienced players in the middle. the biggest sign of content the club could make at this stage is by signing another striker, but i agree they are trying and have done quite well with using the loan system.

Where are they now : Alick Kapikanya
yeah some supporters were panicking that he would get hold of the club and some took it a lot further, be i am glad ah had the common sense to avoid him. it would have been a disaster if he was involved. a con artist running a professional football club wont be success for the long term.

Ryley Reynolds returns to Kidderminster
good move, i hope he gains the experience to come back and really push on. if he gets plenty of game time there is no reason why he wont be able to make it in our team. the only thing stopping it is the experience. he has to learn the levels and improve with time, so good luck ryley reynolds.

Tyrese Hall to Notts
i dont really think its the end of any player, i personally agree with @CliftonMagpie that the club are trying to cover potential injuries ahead of time before they make any impact and relying on the loan market so that we can use whatever budget remains in january for a promotion push fingers crossed. he looks like a useful player to see if it works. the things about loan players, if they dont fit in we can always send them back.

Game 1: Match Discussion, The Exiles (A)
i think he lost a bit of his momentum in the second half, i dont think he had the support as much and we did not create space away from the newport players. yet his penalty kick was calmly taken. it was good to see him more like his old self, get his confidence up and his first goal from open play and he will be on fire.

Notts Injury Watch 2025/26
i am mortified that i have seen a comment expressing that nick tsaroulla and will jarvis need letting go, i am confused. they are good players who hopefully return stronger from their injuries. i do wish the club would do a monthly roundup on whats happening with the players, instead of a welcomed random update never to hear about it until they return to action.

Notts County Land Promising Tottenham Hotspur Midfielder Tyrese Hall
honestly, i get the reason why we want depth in midfield. it would help the defence by making sure the energy is there in the middle but the club needs to listen to the fans about ensuring we can get another striker. it is the most important signing they can make, but i am sure tyrese hall will prove himself to be a good signing.

Where are they now : Sam Osborne
i know he signed for alfreton but i agree with the comment in the post, he never seems to settle or play long for a club. in the friendly against us, he was a very good player and was their biggest spark i felt. it does just seem a bit strange that hes off out on loan so soon.

Do We Lose Intensity When the Fans Aren’t Close?
i dont know what it is or how to explain it. i have noticed that it does make a difference, i cant say i know a lot about the mental side of football. its a strange one because most teams are able and there are times when notts has the confidence to perform well for 90 minutes but attacking does tend to be better when its towards the support the team have. maybe we need to try to be louder and more encouraging throughout the games even when its tough or boring? i am not saying newport was boring.

pon on tom iorpenda
i have to agree that iorpenda looked very comfortable, i felt a bit nervous with him being on the team sheet as a starter but i thought he went about the first half with a lot of intent. the foul he drew, i think might have been given if he did not drop to the floor like a championship player. it got a lot of fans backs up near me towards the referee but i think if he drawn more contact and went down naturally i do think it would have been given as a foul. he worked very hard in a lot of the attacking play which was brilliant to see. thought him and matt palmer did a lot of work to encourage us to attack positively.

Prediction league 25/26 round 1 - Saturday 2 August
you have set a very high standard to maintain @magpiejue, as someone who had led previous prediction leagues dont let it go to your head and dont over think results. just keep guessing with your head and heart. well done everyone.

Who's your Man of the Match against Newport?
matt palmer is where my vote went, it was nice to see him covering so much of the pitch and i thought his corners were a lot better. its just a shame we are a bit static at attacking arial balls but i think jatta would have made the most of them.

Jodi Jones on the Spot as Notts Held at Newport County
referee seemed poor, but we should have won the game. i thought he was not going to give the penalty but award a free kick, but he made that correct decision. i would like to know why they managed to keep all 11 players on the pitch, despite some dangerous challenges? 18 fouls i think and only one yellow card. i felt most of the things were positive, but did feel frustrated to leave not having tested them much in the second half.

Four Four Two #Notts
i wonder if four four two will ever rebrand the more unpopular 4-4-2 becomes in foootball. they should call it formations and have done with it. 🤣

Where are they now : Antwoine Hackford
he might not feature much for afc wimbledon but its a good move, its one step away from the championship and if he does well enough then he will have proved they were right for signing him. he could have came here and not done much, so i think its a good move for him.
