  1. i can see what martin paterson tried to do with the subs but it felt like the wrong time to make the changes at least to me, i dont think you can change so much when you lose a player and the games starting to get blown open. yes the referee did not handle the game all that well, but i do think the sending off was the right call but its his poor control that i point out. missed some fouls, and played on. grimsby was not bad, but their defence should have been beaten. i would have been happy with a draw. i also hate how keepers go down when the pressure is on, they should be forced to go off like outfield players because it wont happen but it cant happen really.
  2. i went to visit my mum in the morning, then went to fetch her shopping and took it back. i stayed to have something to eat, she cooked a sunday roast and my aunt and uncle came over to join us. i have been busy during the week with work, and i found less time to check on things. i was not able to go to yesterday game as i was with my dad who asked me to drive him to covent garden. would have liked to have made the game but i did like the change in some ways.
  3. happy belated birthday @super_ram, i am glad you had a nice day and got to see your grandchildren on chris side. i hope you got to see the others too.
  4. i hope york city and carlisle united gain promotion, those are the two teams i am cheering on. i think they both deserve efl status.
  5. hes bouncing around rather than building and accepting jobs that seems based on name and the smallest hint of gaining a managerial role. i think he should have stayed and learned under wolves, if they still wanted him.
  6. certainly i think the defending was better than our attack, but had that near miss of ours where lee ndlovu tried stretching to reach the ball it could have been different but matty platt played brilliantly.
  7. if you manage to stay on as a contracted employee, they give you training every year and the longer you are with them the more advanced it gets. i am quite familiar with my line managers role and his bosses duties, so i think the training is very useful because its another level but it does not mean i will be advancing any time soon. still i am grateful to be receiving it. thank you, michael. it is a good thing to be able to have the training to move forward if that opportunity presents itself. again, thank you. i noticed chris walking to his seat from the steps near the chip van but i did not get to speak to him either. i dont think he would want anyone to be concerned but it is understandable. i think chris will know that a lot of the community cares, but i am sure if he noticed messages like this and from tony that it would make him feel well supported. negativity can be difficult, but i dont think this season has been any more or less than previous years. i just hope that he manages to start to find a way to cope with his pain because it sounds like it makes everything else a lot worse.
  8. i am not adding this to be negative but i thought straight away, here is the new junior morias. i hope lee ndilovu gets more of a chance but i dont see the arrival as a big fuss. yes, i would rather notts have a third striker because it costs us when we lose alassana jatta or matt dennis but i dont see how paying for a striker that does not have a good pedigree at professional level after allowing someone who seems quite similar to go for free after not playing them. ndilovu looked a bit short for me and one of the floating reasons morias was suggested to be out of favour was due to that, some fans near where i sat suggested hes fast but morias was like lightening when he found his stride. morias and lewis knight are two of the fastest players i have ever seen. tho i admit, pace and height means nothing when a players got a natural instinct of following the game and putting goals away. i would hope that our quality makes it easier, but his goal ratio hardly is impressive. we just have to hope we play him and he does do well for us. thats what i hope for, and i hope again we dont have another player who is wasted.
  9. nick tsaroulla would be my man of the match and he gets my vote, i am surprised nobody else has really voted for him. i laughed when ollie norburn was voted as the official man of the match because i thought he was pretty average. tom iorpenda was good, so i understand why he is popular in the votes but i dont think he was all the good defensive. much better going forward but even then he made some poor decisions. tsaroulla for me was far more consistent, i thought norburn and jodi jones were quite poor by their own standard.
  10. you make sure that you do keep warm and feeling well, i am sure granny pie would be waiting to hit you with her walking sticks if you did not listen. i am glad you are keeping warm.
  11. suffering from a lot of pain he said. it was only a short catch up, but it did make me want to come on pon to get back involved. i cant say much really, i think i just caught him at the right time.
  12. i miss you all too, i have never been accepted like i have here and its held me grow as an individual. 👍
  13. i am happy and i do acknowledge that when we have seen him in goal against us, that he always does well in goal but i did feel it was a bit of a "please the fans signings" and that makes me nervous because we have had chances of signing him before. it makes me wonder why now? i feel for roos a bit, he is just prone to eccentricity. in the ideal world we would still have him competing and pushing belshaw to retain his space but i think the loan releases wages. perhaps roos is on a chunk we cant afford to have him in this situation. it is nice to see more confident when teams attack, and that fans are fully behind belshaw. i think its a sensible signing, but i would add we should not settle and strengthen this area next season. not to replace belshaw but so we have two capable first team keepers, with griffiths being able to gain experience.
  14. i have been focusing on work which is why i have been absent, i am training to be a facility manager at my depo and work. i have been working away from nottingham for the majority of the new year because of this training. i miss the community, so i reached out to chris and its nice to hear from him. i need to reach out to other members because the time i have been away i do feel disconnected. i have not long got home from work, what was like a 10-15 minute drive is more like an hour there and back. longer drives especially at night tends to make me sleeping. i hope everyone is okay, and that you all feel better for those suffering from illness.
  15. i think its interesting to see how notts responds to going from weekend, to week day games and then not playing for awhile. our last win was very important, because it did look like we had lost that spark we grew and it does show how much the players are putting in even when games are not going our way. routine is very important, as is form and that brings out the confidence to win. hopefully, we start to see the difference that the new signings bring to the club and that we can push on. i have no doubt that crewe will be looking to play, and to make things difficult on the pitch.
  16. Portsmouth 2–0 Blackburn Rovers Wrexham 1–3 Watford Burton Albion 0–0 Wycombe Wanderers Peterborough United 1–1 Northampton Town Stockport County 1–0 Stevenage Joker Cheltenham Town 0–2 Harrogate Town Chesterfield 3–1 Barnet Crawley Town 2–2 Oldham Athletic
  17. carl regan anyone remember his loan stay with us?
  18. biggest for me was how we the fans stayed behind the players and it felt like we were with them in spirit, our support is generally very good away from home but this match most games from when we gained promotion. we felt united together and it made the will all the more special. the lads did brilliantly to shut up the shop and sneak the win. we did not deserve it, and it reminded me of how some teams have been lucky against us but its nice that we are on that side for a change.
  19. he is also very frustrating with his simulation efforts and getting in the faces of the opposition, i would not want him to do that for notts but otherwise he did look a very capable player.
  20. it makes you think we should have just let him stay with dagenham the season we gained promotion, he was a big player for them and it looked like we had made a good signing but for whatever reason we just did not play him. i hope we did not do it to hurt dagenham in reaching the playoffs. his career seems to have suffered due to signing for us, but he is a good goal scorer.
  21. i thought both teams did well, mk dons might feel unlucky but we share a lot in common with them. i think the pressure makes our defence switch off, and i feel the same way about mk dons. they are a dirty group of players, who seemed to enjoy being rough in stages where they tried to manage the game and break up our momentum but they did play some good football. their first two goals, those could have really punished us, and i think matthew dennis strike is the get of jail card we needed. as it came from nowhere, and even tho they went back in the lead. it showed us we could score, and they made a similar blunder by allowing jatta in. the game would have felt a natural draw, but to sneak the win does feel all the more satisfying. tom iorpend was unlucky to hit the post earlier in the game and to see him win it for us in the dying minutes, well it makes one of those match days where you feel lucky and over the moon to have all 3 points.
  22. i think if i am to go for their whole performance and contributes, then i have to say nick tsaroulla. he started well and gave notts hope going forward after the opening set back. he worked hard, did his role and more importantly got us playing without confining play to just the wing. i thought keanan bennetts had a classy game too. i would also say the midfield did a very solid job. with kelle roos making some crucial saves at key moments. defending could do with being tighter, but thats pressure for us as mk dons looked exactly the same at the back.
  23. Leyton Orient 1-1 Luton Town Lincoln City 0-2 Barnsley Northampton Town 0-1 Huddersfield Town Stevenage 0-2 Cardiff City Barrow 1-1 Tranmere Rovers Cambridge United 0-2 Chesterfield joker Fleetwood Town 1-2 Salford City Harrogate Town 0-0 Accrington Stanley
  24. i might not have liked what i may have posted if i had done it sooner, but i left frustrated and disappointed. we are our own worst enemies when it comes to games like this. if only we could be tighter at the back and more alert, with less jumping in before making a decision on balance. i know football is a quick game, but its costing us and its not just roos, but the defending is not acceptable at times. we manage games unbalanced when the pressure is on. all the good we did in attacking the play, was left undone by the state of the goals we conceded and in a game really notts should have won. i am not being biased saying this, because we were in control and looking good until colchester equalised. we looked destined to draw, until martin paterson decides to go all in and i do think the choice was right. i just think we could have been a bit more balanced at the back, i wished he had kept nick tsaroulla on. keanan bennetts was great running at players, but tsaroulla offered more at the back. only to see bennetts come off, with two fresh wingers even though will jarvis and maziar kouhyar did well. which of those were defensive? neither, both seem to be more switched on at attacking. colchester was better than harrogate town in terms of performance, but they were just as bad with the time wasiting, theatrics and all that ugly stuff cheap teams do to get the upper hand when being out footballed. hes too eccentric, i dont think he puts much thought into some of his decisions. very rash at thinking, i mean he made a good save late on by punching the ball out for a corner, but his first decision was woeful. these decision can prove costly, and he needs to be reigned in. why punch a cross in as if you are superman in the direction of attacking players? especially after choosing to slide into a defender earlier on in the game and being lobbed. its just madness. its nothing personal, but i dont think hes good enough or smart enough to realise.
  25. nick tsaroulla for me. i felt disappointed when martin paterson took him off, but i can understand that keanan bennetts looked good attacking. i just thought tsaroulla was superb all over the pitch.
