  1. i left the game feeling very frustrated in roos, to the point i felt like i had little hope in his ability. i watched the extended highlights yesterday, because i dont want to be harsh or rely on my thoughts after the game because i realise my perspective could be more based on what i felt i had seen. i do wish he would stop being so eccentric, focusing more on playing it safe. notts looked very good until his decision to come rushing out, when i saw it live i wondered why the hell he did not just kick it out for a throw in. i thought he slid in trying to leave something onto the colchester player. for me it was the biggest turning point of the game, and rewatching it. i think the idea was probably right, but the execution being poor and unfortunate. until watching the extended highlights, i thought we had some good chances that just did not fall but there are efforts that we should have done much better with and one came from a cross from lewis macari where conor grant back flicked the ball, it catches a deflection and tyrese hall is stretching to get on to it. its unfortunate, as grant may have scored but i do wonder if being more aware and passing it would have been different. to their credit everything happens in a heart beat, but there are chances where we really should be more clinical. i think we need to be more mindful when going for it, because it ultimately left us short at the back. poor defending, and i do think roos could have done better but i would acknowledge one on ones are hard. our problem is the defending and decision making when it comes to the opposition having chances. i thought we played very well attacking wise, but it counts for nothing when you cant manage a team of thugs and dark arts specialists.
  2. it was a frustrating game and i think the players did well not to get involved lashing out, well outside of matthew dennis pushing over on of their players but its not like we drew the game due to a lack of effort. it was more that harrogate made it hard, and we just did not have that spark of quality to overcome the occasion but i do think this reflects on some important subjects.
  3. Burton Albion 1-1 Blackpool Luton Town 2-0 Rotherham United Accrington Stanley 2-2 Bristol Rovers Cambridge United 3-1 Barnet joker Grimsby Town 0-0 Chesterfield Braintree Town 0-1 Truro City Hartlepool United 0-0 Wealdstone Woking 2-1 Boston United
  4. if we signed macca back on loan, he would be the push needed to give this season all the fight we could. tho i do think peterborough united would be a good chance to revive his career, i just would not expect williams to be there at the end of his loan or permanent move depending on if anything unfolds. i think its a difficult job for williams and a striker wont solve all the problems he has.

  6. its the time of year its like a war zone at work, and i have more layers on going into work than i do once home. its been horrible today, a lot rain and just depressing feeling. its been quieter walking around, but i did look forward to going back to work during my dinner break. i usually really enjoy the break but not today.
  7. i dont think we really need him, it would be like going backwards despite the quality he could bring. being amongst the league one divisions most shots, says something that he still has it but maybe he is just struggling to convert challenges. i would rather persist with tyrese hall at this stage, because much like dan crowley we have learned to live without david mcgoldrick now.
  8. i like the changes i have noticed to the mobile side, some neat things and as someone with mod powers it would make things easier to do. good update.
  9. nick tsaroulla for me, he was brilliant and was unlucky not to score from his diving header. he also played a part in keeping us safe, with two very important challenges.
  10. the first half we could have been well away from just leading by 2-0 and although they came into more in the second half, i did not feel at any point like the result was not going to go our way. i thought the midfield was very solid, supporting attack and defence. straight from kick off we looked to get settled and that helped moving forward. nick tsaroulla played a very good role in the win, i thought he was class.
  11. a very enjoyable away game, fans were class! i thought they did well to make a game of it in the second half, i did not see their goal all that well due to being blocked but i thought despite it notts deserved the three points. i am going to enjoy the rest of my trip home now. 😀

  14. conor grant gets my vote, thought he played very well and his goal will hopefully allow him to crack on with this season. a few more goals and more will see hes worth.
  15. same as most days so far, just work and nothing much else. i still have until 5 to finish. just been busy with helping my mum clear out her house, lots of stuff in the loft that is being rehomed. not interesting really.
  16. its a good chance to continue our current form, cambridge are a very good team at this level but if we play our best i think we should be able to win.
  17. its very sad, especially that he could have been saved with treatment but we sometimes battle on.
  18. it looks like north korea, or one of those countries ran by a dictator. i would rather have the reedtz, wait for the success and be stronger for it. forest overspend and their owner causes a lot of issues. the fact hes been reported to spit at officials, argue with opposition management. it does not look good.u
  19. it shows the importance of defending and keeping the score level in tough games, as a chance can always change the out come of the game, such as what happened with tyrese hall scoring. defending older pieces, especially with headers away takes pressure of the keeper.
  20. well done to them, thats a very good result and the scorers seem to be regular contributors to the goals netted.
  21. i think some areas like to be the biggest moaners, happy when we win but confrontational if results dont go notts way. i like seeing well thought out criticism, i dont like when its personal or just negative for the sake of it.
  22. im looking forward to finishing work, i can feel the cold like others have mentioned. it cant make its mind up, if it will be sunny or cloudy and rainy. its the wind that makes it chilling.
  23. its a good draw for the 1st round, i think they will be wanting to cause an upset and the money to them wont be something i think they would take for granted. we need to apply ourselves well and win the tie to show we took it seriously.
  24. i think there are times when comments are not forgiving and pre established opinions control the narrative but i do understand the criticism. a lot of members on pon have been fair, giving him credit for improving but its different on social media which at times is ott. for me, his mistakes make me nervous, he can do well but he is prone to causing trouble. that said, he dont always get a fair reflection of his performances and notts fans have always been critical of keepers.
  25. i was at the game on my own, thought barnet stuck well to their game plan and that was very disruptive to the way notts like to play. it made it difficult to counter and pass, they did very well to control the play. started with keeping it scrappy and in the air, which suited them but when it was played on the floor, they attacked with a lot of threat. Thankfully, we forced them into shooting more from distance and the 8 minutes seemed a bit annoying when it was announced, to score in the final minutes i take it back. out fans were great thought the 100+ minutes.
